Roses

This is actually a much older photoshop painting of mine, from back in 2005. Thought I'd post it just to get some critique on the technique and such. As it stands, I figure the clouds could have used some work, but on the other hand I'm not sure whether that would have taken attention away from the flowers. Anyway, take a look, and criticism is appreciated.

PS: I've actually been trying to find a solution to this problem for a while- why do the colors in a jpeg image like this one seem fine in photoshop, but become more washed out (the red rose in particular doesn't normally have quite so many highlights) and bright when I upload them?

I think the style used it very vibrant, there's just nothing off I can see in those gorgeous flowers. The composition looks a little off though, maybe putting them closer to the centre, letting us see more of them, would've been better. Right now they appear sliding off the sheet.

I actually love the roses/flowers, Chagan. This could be a very solid piece, but as of right now. The background/sky is killing it. Think about your composition and maybe try to add a few more flowers into it. Also some vines and thorns, try to find a background that complements the colors of the flowers so the overall piece is pleasing to look at.
