CRAP!
First of all. I like it. The coloring is good.
But...
This doesn't look like an orc to me.Could be just me.
One other minor thing... his right ear (I assume they are ears) seems to be a little long.
glad you like it. I guess it might not be the stereotypical orc we all know. but my definition of orc is somebody green and ugly. and with pointy ears. Oh, and yeah i guess the ear is a bit long in comparison to the otherone. Thanks for the tip!
CRAP!
I dunno but theres somthing that sorta bothers me, his left ear (our right) it seems to continue accross his face i assume its meant to be a shadow but i you look at where the light manages to reach, for instance along his leg and stuff i think the shadow shouldnt be there but the ear should infact be fully in the light. Might just be me though.
I really like the colouring especially on the high detail of his arm muscles and the engravings in his armour.
I could launch into a long rant about what is and what isnt an orc, but I will refrain cause I think its happend before and nobody can ever really agree.
I really like it though, also the way the sky and background sorta have a ruff feel to them. You capture the effect of poor visibility really well.![]()

His ears don't look lined up properly...looks promising though, please finish!
Orcs are usaly pretty beefy, imo. Seems like more of a goblin than an orc.
Don't just practice. Also Practice the right things, the right way.
haha i knew someone would get upsetOk so lets go for "green creature with pointy ears" instead.

CRAP!
people are way too stuck on what everyone else says a made-up critter should look like! Keep the open minded approach, its what creativity runs best on.![]()
i like what youre doing with the partial sillouette, and your rendering looks good to me. You gotta be careful of where anatomy goes though. the elbow and the shoulder on the left arm are outta whack...so's the scale. Its easy to get lost in the rendering and end up with screwy proportions (i do that all the time =P)
But other than that...keep at it. If you keep using the light as well as you are you could create a really nice effect.
cheers,
-W
