The only thing i can say to this Dan is that its to yellow, I said this a lot of times on stream maybe you just missed it but i would try to add more red into it because the original has a lot of red tones in specially around cheeks and nose.

The only really yellow/orange part on this painting should be around the eyebrow where the light hits, like right on top of the eyebrow.

You seem to be strong at drawing so i would suggest focus more on colors than drawing, it just seams it will help you at this point.

i found the mma studies by searching mma photography on google. theres a site with tons.

yes, still struggling with color. doing my best to work around my impediment.

heres some new stuff. this months theme: movie stills. starting basic with some cool color stuff from indiana jones. moving on to more complex and energetic after this is done.

hay Dan! nice updates! Indiana Jones!! hell yes! haha love it! ahh shit, i was gonna post this killer link in here its to a blog that just posts TONS of quality movie stills... its probably in the reference forum somewhere but im too lazy to go looking for it again. but some movies i might suggest are : bladerunner/the matrix/any movie by akira kurosawa/lord of the rings/aliens/kill bill/iron man... just a few... haha keep it up dude!

Hey Dan , mr liontaur looks good! , A few crits though!
1: The girls legs feel very stretched so i shortened them a bit

2: Her stomach feels a bit off , i think its a small perspective issue and her pelvis and ribcage are very far apart. I also made her deltoid a bit less round so its more feminine. Also made her right boob a bit more flat and put the other boob a bit to the side due to gravity and they seemed a bit too close.

3: The fountain head really drew my eye as it was a bit too close to the left face.

4+5: I feel the lower part of his body could use bit more lighting , especially on his tail and hammer. I think its metal but if it is i feel it should be more contrasty and reflect more light. Same with her boots and bracers (at the moment the material is a bit hard to read , i think its bronze though?)

6: His lower arm seems very very short, so i moved his upper arm a bit at an angle so it suggests it goes further back , Though i think there's better fixes. I also enlarged his hand as it seemed very small.

Hey there! The studies are coming along very nicely. Also good job on the Lion-man
There's something I noticed though: When you render, you tend to go with the long side of the form which often looks quite strange. I especially noticed this in your women's upper bodies or the transition from their upper bodies to the legs. I makes them look like they were sliced out of wood or plastic rather then looking like flesh.
Also I feel like you could use a little more variation in color, temperature and saturation in your skintone. Right now they look all quite orange.

Great designs on the latest charcacter outfits!
Concerning the movie still study you're making right now, you're using a lot of yellow tones whereas on th original there is a bunch of redish tones...well everywhere, it can be seen very easily when you compare the hue of the far left bottle on the left side of the picture, a usefull trick is to squint your eyes to compare the hues (it works with values as well) between the original pic and your study.
Anyway keep up the hard work you're on a very good track to progress.

Hey Dan... Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, the ammount of evolution from first page is so extreme that now you're officially a pokemon.

I got a friend who is colorblind too, what he usually does is he checks the codes of the colors on the color picker to be sure he's picking the right color, its utterly boring probably but it seems to work

been super busy the past couple weeks. character stuff comin, 2 new jobs, and still tryin to finish some prsonal work. ive missed the forums! also--postin the cover for the perhapanauts drawing. painting it now, and its a bit different than the image posted. been sweating it like crazy. also-- some zelda art for the anniversary! chose my favorite game- link to the past, and am finishin the lines tomorrow. momos in here too, and im wondering if itll ever get done. heres hopin.
