What happened to the old uploads where you type in your name and category and all that good stuff?

Is my art still protected just as much? What kind of license do i have with posting my art here?

Hi I bought some digital downloads in the past and I was wondering how would I get to download them again?

Is there a way to disable the social media 'share' icons that appear when you hover over an image?
For images posted as thumbnails, these block the entire thumbnail so I can't full-view the image.

hey i'm just wondering if anyone has had the same problem with no icons being shown. If so if they have figgured out how to fix it.

my other account is tentativesteps. I tried resetting my password a couple months ago but I seem to never get the email msg on my gmail account. I was thinking that the issue was I had changed my email previously, and so the system was screwed up now or something. Is there any way to fix this? I'd like to keep my old sketchbook and continue posting on it now.

There is no link to the forum on the main page. If you type www.conceptart.org, it changes it to workshop.conceptart.org and there is no way to reach the forum from there. If I didn't have my sketchbook saved into my favorites, then I would not have know that the NEW address to the forum is forums.conceptart.org from conceptart.org/forums

Unless I'm missing something, there needs to be a main page correction.

I assume this is the right forum to post this in, if not, apologies, because this is not so much a question about the forum as it is criticism. I also cannot find anyone else mentioning this, so I thought I'll just throw up a tread here.

Earlier this month, the forum was having some troubles with uptime, thus I didn't visit here again until now (busy with lots of other things to really bother). I knew the forum was undergoing changes in terms of lay out and functionality... but the progress seems rather broken to me. It goes step by step, creating lots of of problems in the progress. Now I understand that bugs take time to solve and I respect that (and I have the patience), but now we're getting to the point I am going to make: the new lay-out.

I don't want to be offensive to the creator of this lay-out and style, but it's terribly confusing with a lot of overall bad design. The first thing that stands out is the low contrast font. I know most people on this website are young (I am too), but isn't it rather bad to assume that everyone will be able to read a text that is just a tinge darker or lighter greenish-grey than the background's greenish-grey?
Now, the forum listings and the thread listings within them still look rather clean, not too much criticism there apart from the low contrast.
The threads themselves however... they look terrible in terms of clear and transparent web design. Each post and each part of the post it outlined with a light colour but there is absolutely zero hierarchy between elements to distinguish important from less important information. It confusing and messy, and doesn't at all fit in 2010+ era of web design. With the virtually limitless possibilities in creating a clear and easy to navigate website, you've chosen to make it look like something from the early 2000s.

There is overlapping text, text cut off at the bottom, share buttons all over the place with no logical hierarchy. The previous design wasn't the best either, but this is definitely a step backwards.

I am not sure if this is the “final” design or if you're still working on it. However, I assume this is the final design... if so, I think there are -many- things that can be improved.

Don't put this down to my incompetence on how to use a forum, I know perfectly well, and I can find my away around. But people learning how to use the website with a bit of trouble anyway is no excuse not to make a better and more visually readable website.

Use colours to mark different elements, it can be subtle. Don't put the bright and -very- distracting outlines together with low contrast colours of the fonts, it just doesn't work. You got a colour palette going on with the dark blue/grey at the top of the forum, use the palette!
Why is welcome – notifications – settings – log out separated from the dark blue/grey bar beneath it? Put what people need at their fingertips! Don't make them search for the right option all over the page. Forum-related and profile-related links can still be in the same menu without confusing the visitor.

Also still finding random text all over the forum. Such as at the top of the sketchbook forum: “var addthis_config = { services_overlay:'facebook,twitter,email,print,mor e' }”, bad badddd coding.
Overlapping text and graphics (such as the + - buttons) are an absolute -DON'T- when it comes to web design.

Once again, I am not trying to be offensive, so please excuse me if I seem heated here and there. I just thought it was odd that no-one had mentioned anything about this yet. I wanted to see if there was anyone sharing my thoughts on this, or if I am just a jaded internet user... I personally think that web design has come so far to make sites better and easier in use... not because people are dumb and don't know how to use a website, but for sheer efficiency. Also, don't people want the ability to present their work here in the best way possible? The bad design around the pictures is really distracting. The art should be the centerpieces, and the web design should reflect that idea. There should be cohesion, hierarchy, clarity and transparency. Most of these elements are currently missing.

Now of course I am not expecting this forum to be perfect and super highly designed by some amazing professional, but it should follow at least some of these ideas to make it more useful to people.

I'm trying to be constructive in my critisism. But if anyone has anything to add, please do. If anyone thinks I'm completely wrong, please say so too. I am open for discussion.

We've been getting some new spam in the last couple of days that sets off Avast for me and might be setting off other anti virus programs. Luckily, most of it is moderated, which makes them sitting ducks for me. :uzi2:

Not sure why but within the last few months I have found visiting this site to be a hit or miss affair. I was just dismissing it as server things or other some such randomness but compared to other sites I visit this site does seem to suffer a lot from what seems to be hijacking.

I reach this site via bookmark at forums.conceptart.org which works well most of the time, except for when the aforementioned redirects occur. I am posting a screen shot of the latest culprit here in case anyone can help solve what the problem is. Should I rebookmark the site?

Also I am based in Japan so not sure if that has anything to do with it but yeah.

Also all the forum icons are missing so again just lends to the impression that this site truly no longer exists.

here in the "go advanced" reply UI: no buttons are appearing for "insert image" etc. etc. also, none of the Post Icons are appearing. When I hover around and find the invisible Insert Image button and try to use the uploader, none of the buttons are visible on that either.

Using Chrome. Tried it on Safari too and the same thing happened.
