Hi! This is my first post. Here, i used Artist Oils in Painter IX (with Wacom I2) to catch a traditional painting style.

Thanks for viewing and comments are most wellcome.

Hi there, allow me to be the first to comment? :)

I like the painterly style you've used for the sky, and the colours are really great and atmospheric.

I think that the floating castle itself could do with being 'lifted' off the page more though and given some more minute details that would help it to do just that, because now it's blending in with that bold sky a bit too much so it looks kind of flat.

The foreground and the ocean could do with some tidying up too, so it doesn't look a 'liney' and 'choppy' as it does now.

Apart from that good job.

hi yasin
some firsts are happening...this is my fist coment :) ... I am agree with "chermilla" besides it looks like some flying machine rather than a castle...
may be you can add some towers, flags...i like your painting but it will be better after the modifications i think...

The "impressionist" mode of your piece doesn't really suit it. As previously said, it needs to be tidied up and sharpened up - it looks streaky and choppy. This is especially important for your clouds, there is lots of compositional potential in clouds (depth, shapes, spaces, etc) that your brush strokes are clogging up!

I personally love the sky, especially the colors. It's a little difficult to tell the form of the castle, though.
