I threw together a work in progress for the robot piece I loaded up here a couple weeks back. Though it doesn't go into great detail on the exact processes I use there are some tool tips throughout and you can get a feel for the crazy way I work by looking at the progression of images.
I'll also be willing to field any questions you all may have about the work, tools, etc. (Time permitting of course.)
Enjoy!

your style is that of my dreams, it is the style i wish i had.

i think you would like a song called "jed the humanoid" by grandaddy .. into indie-rock? its the robots.
i was wondering about your 100 robot project, i didnt delve into your news section of your site too much, but how many of them have you made so far? flipping the switches will blend your brains.
it seems you have yet another clingy aspiring fan.

Cool tutorial. I like the look you got with Painter. Is simple chalk a new tool in Painter 7?

Thanks all for the comments.
Sparth- Just had to say that I've been looking at your work recently too and I'm completely enamoured of your Nautalis drawings... It was all i could do not to just start downloading and painting.
Killing.Stuff- I'm not familar with Granddaddy but I do like the indie-rock. I'll look them up. As to how many I have done? Well, including this one there's, uh, two finished... But there's a BUNCH in the works. I'll post selected ones as time goes on.
Smeagol- Thanks back at ya.
Negativespace- Shit... I just realized it's SHARP chalk. The watercolor tool I was using in Painter 6 was called "Simple Water" or something like that. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
