Here is a WIP of an interior env I'm working on. I tried to incorperate some Art Deco themes in the architecture.

The scene is about 26k...not stitched together yet. I have to light the place next, and then texture.

Modeled in Max 5

If anyone sees any glaring problems with either the concept, mesh, even suggestions on how to spice it up please let me know. Thanks a lot.

holy shit that’s sweet job there man.

I been trying to do arches and a ceiling like that for a while-but I always seem to mess up the geometry but you did a bang up job on keeping it together. how did you do it?

Thanks for the comments Polycube.

The answer to your question is...lot's of practice ;)
I'm still not that confident at it either...the main room with the domed ceiling took a while for me to get right.

When doing architecture though I would say it's very important to work in your othographic views, if you can draw up a isometric of your planed room and use that on a plane and model from that.

I know thats vauge, but I hope it helps...it's kinda hard to explain.

yeah its a tough one to do ceilings like that. I never touched nurbs but since they do such wonderful curves n such its prob my best bet to get into.

texture it up :D

I light my interior, as well as the exterior...some minor tweaks but then Im ready to texture....

dont mind the page layout...I had to doll it up for a potential employer.
