CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!

Not until this year did I realize just what a difficult competition this is to get into to.
We looked at over 6000 entries, and unlike other competitions, almost none of them were really bad.
Every piece was of a consistently high calibre, so those that made it in should feel especially proud.

Well no one knows what got in yet until the letters come out, so those that submitted work in addition to LMSTD pieces might not know if that was the piece that got in. I can tell you that the only two pieces I submitted were my LMS pieces, and both were submitted in Institutional. I did manage to get in, and I'd guess it was my round one piece, not my round two. I'm guessing people were pretty split on Institutional/Unpublished, though, so you'll likely get both answers from folks.

I don't remember for sure, I think i may have put mine in the institutional category. I forgot who said this but they figured that institutional is the way to go because a lot of the stuff that is normally in institutional would go into the Concept Art category.

Scott, Tiff, Dave and Myself are celebrating on Friday at the Society of Illustrators opening. Those of you in the area (Eric, i see you trolling the thread) should come down as well.

Seriously, wasn't there a whole discussion on this beforehand? I thought the Institutional category was artfully vague enough in it's description that LMSTD could fit in either category? (something about work done for self promotion, among other items).
