I was away for a month or 2 and I m trying to do searches but it doesnt seem to work
Before it wasnt always working properly and I would just go into another section of the forum and it would work but now that trick is also not working
I cant even search to know if this problem was already posted... ehheheh

Can you be more specific as to exactly what isn't working?
Browser (including version number)?
A description (feel free to attach screenshots if that helps or makes it easier to explain) of the problem...how are you trying to use it, when does it go wrong, do you get some kind of error message, etc...?
Also, if you could try this in a few other browsers (if you haven't already) we can perhaps rule out browser bug(s) and/or usergroup/account permission problems.
Thanks! :)

Make sure you let the entire page load before trying to click it.

When I click on the search link, it doesnt do anything and also when I use the arrow.
I m on internet explorer 6.0
I tried to refresh and also after the whole page was loaded and it wasnt working also...
I just tried all the buttons on that row of menu and only search and quicklinks are not working

That's because they use a little bit of javascript magic.

Okay, so if I understand this right, the javascript "popup menus" aren't always working in IE6?

well, I just went to this other forum and they also use the same Vbulletin but version 3.0.4 (not like the 3.5.4 like here ) and it seems to be working...
Anyway, I guess I'm the only one who has that problem for now... so just send me the url of advanced search and I ll be happy =)

Advanced search:

With a little bit of luck it's a vbulletin bug and has been fixed in the latest version (which I hope we will upgrade to sooner or later...).
If you use XP SP2 or Server 2003 you could also try upgrading to IE7 and see if that solves the problem:

Thanks a lot Pontemonti, this is greatly apreciated and will stop me from making an absurd amout of new thread in the lounge about things I know I could search.
I mostly check CA at work... hehhe
Well I work in an Hospital overnight and I answer the phone so whenever the phone is not rigning, I can go on the internet so there s no way for me to actually change any setting here.

Ah, I see :)
I was thinking that perhaps it's possible to add a link to the advanced search somewhere, but I can't really find a good place (the navigation bar, where the search menu is, is full already)...and why try to work around the problem instead of actually fixing it? I hope we can begin upgrading vbulletin after the holidays.
