im starting a project in school about real woking designers and artists. can anyone recommend some good artists (specifically UK based), and the work they have done/ their websites.

A Painter that really rocks my world is Alex Kanevsky. You can find some info here (http://www.pewarts.org/97/Kanevsky/index.html) and see some of his works here (http://www.somepaintings.net/Alex.html). It has a lot to do with personal taste, but I'm really digging them a bunch.
As far as designers go, I'd say take a look at Living Rope (http://livingrope.free.fr/). Also some really inspiring stuff.
Unfortunately neither of them are situated in the UK, but currently these two guys are rocking my boat. Otherwise, just check out the artists at the top of the page or those in the exclusive sb section.
