these are pretty good, even though Im not into the whole surrealism bit....
one crit, if youre going to use ref, I would perhaps get rid of wristwatches. kinda ruins the imagery for me, also making it into a handcuffish thing in the second image is unbelievable because it clearly reads as a watch.
cheers

Thanks the watch thing is in keeping with the original hand painting called Modern Hands In Arcadia. That's why the 1st one is [Arcadia Revisited]

EDIT @ 5:02 PST: Removed lengthy explanation...
I have gotten a few comments about the cuff thing... or that it looks like a cuff... it's supposed to be Hand Of Mars/Doom/War restrained.
Thanks again for the advice though.
Ciao For Now...

Beautiful work my friend. I have a professor at Visual Arts that would really enjoy your work.
Congrats!

I liked you first post vogemudet, these I'm not so keen on. But mostly I could do without all the long explanations behind your work, leave it up to the viewer to decide what the paintings mean to them.
There used to be a guy on here (imaginative pencil(sic)...anyone remember him) who used to post massive explanations to tell us how terrific he was, & how his work would change all our lives & harmonise the universe, or some bollocks. Used to wind me right the fuck up.
Also, I know you a massive Dali fan (& why not),but it might be better if you tried to wear your influences on your sleeve a little less...the Hands Of Mars/Doom II looks like you even trying to capture that Mediterranean light that Dali loved so much.

Thanks Staz Johnson, Ima big fan of your crits. I was told a few weeks ago about not showing influences so much.
Dali stayed here at Pebble Beach and loved the light, said it was very Dutch, like Vermeer's light. There are only a few places that California resembles and that's Italy, France and Spain.
I was actually inspired by Canaletto and my fav movie... Midway... always loved 'em Pacific Skies. Especially in the El Nino times...
Okay i wont explain away... LOL. Thanks...
& thanks Eric Gerhard TYVM...
