hi,

attached r 2 of my characters inspired by Romance of the 3 kingdom. Thought of depiciting some of those ancient warriors as animals based on their characteristics. Had fun drawing them.. hope they turn out ok. I'm still practising on my values and colors so any critiques will be most welcome.

I really love your sketch. Great line work. The painted piece is really nice too. I like how the armor came out on both characters.

I think, though, that the one thing that's bugging me a little is the composition of the two characters. It's really just the placement of the lion's sword and how it slices into the apes head. Is the sword supposed to be tearing threw him. This is just a collage right? A quick fix might be to just raise the ape up a little bit...that way the sword sits in back of him and not through him. You see that skull cap on the ape? Even if the bottom edge of the sword were to sit below that line...i think it would fix everything.

anyway..i'm just nit-picking really. Nice work.

Love the style. Looks really good.

My only concern is that, between the positioning of the Lion's blade and the expression on the ape's face, it looks like the ape is about to be beheaded.

But other than my overactive imagination, it looks really nice. :)

Wow those pencils are real nice! I especially like the ape. Is the lion supposed to be going in to behead him? It kind of looks like that even though he's not looking at him...maybe if you aranged the two figures differently with the ape on top...real nice though,keep it up!!!!
