Man, I love these. Great texture and motion. A lot of energy in the strokes as well. Probably what I like the most are the ambiguous forms that can be made out in select areas.

Very cool. I like the way they get more abstract.

I always love your stuff. It's cool that you worked in some color in the first ones, adds a new feeling to the pieces

I like them, but they seem like random photos with layer effects.. The last portrait is totally kick ass!

I thought they were photo's too...kind of reminds me of the Blair Witch Project.looks like alot of photoshop layers and effects. The portrait's really nice, I like it alot but I'm wondering if you sketched over a photo...what's the main concept behind these if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for looking everyone :)

All of the above are drawings, while I have looked at many forest pictures for reference, each image is just a mass of textures, scribbles and filters . . . .

I think the blur effect adds to the photo look, the trees are made up from just sketchy lines with numerous filters applied over them.

These are just some creepy environmental concepts I've done . . . .

Very nice! I love the one with the scary face in it. It has a lot more going on than the others.

My crit would be that the others could use some object/person to give the painting more of a subject or story.

Good work!

are these all photo manipulations?
not to take away from them at all, (cause i think some are great) but i just see some traces of photoshop filters being used, pretty well i might add, but it becomes a bit distracting imo.

if they are, at least you didn't just take an image and click filter/tiles, or something like that.

Normally I would say that otherwise empty background pictures without an apparent subject would bore the crap out of me.

These are not those kinds of pictures. These rock, and I guess I can't explain why I like them except to say that they are anything except empty background pictures without apparent subject.

Had I money I would buy these and hang them in my house.

Thanks everyone :)

I haven't painted over photographs with the above, only used various ones for reference, but I have heavily relied on the filters a little too much it seems to blend the work together, something I shall correct with my newer works.

I'm just getting the feel with these pics, I'll be adding various characters into the backdrops on my newer batches.

Again, thanks for looking, much appreciated :)

I just love the color in the first image, and I really like your line work as well, the movement is amazing.
