I've posted this on a few other forums, and since I like showing my stuff I decided to post it here too. This piece is an amalgom of 2D and 3D. It's probably the best piece of art I've ever done, which is inspiring to me because it was an experiment in the process.

You see, I've been studying 3D now for about 10 months now, and it seems that everything just clicked. I figured why not try and complete an artpiece, even though I don't think I'm ready, and see what happens. Well, here it is. Take it for what you will. It's not perfect, I know, but for not even planning to do this I think it turned out rather well.

OK, here it is.

The other images of WIP's are on my site in my signature. Enjoy!

Hey Chad, that looks pretty cool! Keep it up!

What are you working on next?

<waits for answer>

Why, hello Chad!

I'm working on something quite interesting. I'll give you a hint. The title is "Footsteps of the Giant".

Now move along. You're bothering me...

Hey, man no one has answered this post yet. I'm digging the cartoony/realistic look. Keep it up man.

Hello, thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it. I figured I'd get more of a response, but I guess there's nothing really to respond too.

Anyway, as a self critique, I'd say that I should have put a softer edge around the figures because of the soft omni glow from the staff. I also don't like the rocks in the foreground now. They look way to flat compared to the background elements.

But for an experiment I think this turned out quite well. Now I just need to get motivated to do something else.

Thanks again for the comments. Much appreciated. :D

Wow, good job! I like how you captured this scene, I love how you did the long hallway. Great job!
