O.O
its actually lighter ? omfg how did they manage to put such complex technology into such small space and even make it LIGHTER ? WTF ? and i think this Sensor now will be able to get the FPS-genre more into the Playstation-world. haha...Sony did it again...if not the price for the PS3 ws so high -_-

Rrrridge racer!
It's Ridge Racer!
Related news: I hear the Lynx is gonna be great, here's a taste of what's to come: 8 System timers (2 reserved for LCD timing, one for UART) - UART (for ComLynx) (fixed format 8E1, up to 62500Bd)
Sorry, I meant to write that this is pretty old news. The joystick is lighter cuz they took out the 'Rumblepak' (legal troubles?) and threw in the sensors (which are very light, they are used in Draganfly (http://www.draganfly.com/) I think).

 Dude! Have you seen the Wii?
This is primitive compared to the wii controller (and it has rumble!)

Glynn, Schhhh...! He's living in another time phase, the Nintendo press conference hasn't taken place yet. If you reveal the wii-mote to him you might upset the Space-Time Continuum.

i´ve read that they took out the rumbleing cuz shaking and movement sensoring together didn't really work together ;)

The lack of rumble sucks, but I'm excited to see how developers use tilting with the PS2 controller I know and love.
Don't get me wrong guys, I'm getting a Wii, too :D

i´ve read that they took out the rumbleing cuz shaking and movement sensoring together didn't really work together ;)It's funny that the company what forced them to remove the rumble from their new controller (patent infringement, blahblah) said that it is possible and they could help Sony to get both (if Sony wants). But Sony doesn't want to pay them (they had to pay enough for the rumble in their old controllers because they lost the lawsuit). But Sony plays it like any huffy little boy who doesn't get what he wants and just uses motion tracking without rumble. ;)

I'd rather not concentrate on who stole what. I like to concentrate on the fact that in 99% of the types of highly mainstream games Sony usually features, this feature is kinda useless. Unless we can have a Metal Gear: Happy Drinking Contest, where you try to maintain the balance of a tequila-enriched snake. :D
