August 6th, 2006, 03:26 PM
hey man , kwl sketches one thing id suggest is doing some anatomy stuides and drawings fom ref( i shud take my own advice) also theres a photoshop thread on here that will be very helpful
September 16th, 2006, 04:32 PM
Well, this is my first complete photoshop work. I see the hands seem not finished, but are the way I wanted them, maybe some chest details, but I think it's good. I've not only used ref, ive added it as a second texture to asecure the mesure...it's not a painting, I only practicedd colours, but I think its ok. Is the last extremoduro's cd frond cover.
February 10th, 2007, 01:10 PM
Well, since months, those are my first scans...ive been studying (im supose to be now), and doing lots of things,...but those days watching some movies ive been doing some pics...
I know i still have to study anatomy...ill do...
February 10th, 2007, 02:45 PM
Very cool concepts, mate. Yes, since you know that you need to study anatomy, then do it and nothing else! Maybe one or two concept pages, but do the anatomy like crazy. I am realising this with my art as well and now am doing more reference work than my own.
Once you get that form down you can't go wrong in the long run! Cheers. ;]
February 19th, 2007, 04:08 PM
Ive been this week with anatomy but the only book I have at home is not too good, so, I'm searching for something better. I must have some Loomies ilustrations over here, Im searching for them.
Well, the body and the arms are better now, but they dont seem the same thing...:S
February 19th, 2007, 04:15 PM
Doing good with the studies man. Heres a link to the Loomis Books Online, and there all free and printable.
Hope they help out.
March 4th, 2007, 12:51 PM
Thank you Envisor, very useful :D
Well, I have some new pics :
And with no ref :
I've been practicing, I think I'm progressing
March 18th, 2007, 12:48 PM
This message is not suposed to exist :p
March 18th, 2007, 12:51 PM
Well, I get very bored in classroom so the time I can't expend at home painting I do it in "class time". Most of them are random stuff but two of my teachers gestures.
The robot designs are suposed to be for a game I'm projecting with some friends (I'm the concept artist nowdays, I hate programming).
A kind of maya man, I really like it
More game concepts on the top and a sick cheerleader
Random with pencil
On the top some of my teachers gestures and then voices in my head, more gestures...
April 2nd, 2007, 04:44 PM
Envisor has given you a gold mine there - you should most definitely read through those books if you have not done so already. You need to do some geared up anatomy studies and gestural studies to better get a feel for the human form. You also need to develop your technique - pay attention to what you are doing when you are drawing a line. Too many artists starting out take lines for granted - they are the most powerful element of composition, so give them the attention they need. With your shading you need to get a better feel for you forms and lighting - currently your forms a little too flat.
I must say I really like the attitude you exude with your pen sketches - they are fearless and authoritative in a way. If you don't loose that as you go along, you may well one day possess the type of draftsmanship's mentler has.
Thanks for stopping by my book dude, hope this post was of some help to you. Keep drawing, this game has a lot to do with mileage :).
June 2nd, 2007, 12:44 PM
Well, I'll try to curse arts next year so I have to do an exam and I'm preparing myself for it. Those are some Tintoretto's capies (I love that man!)
(The sides hands are the first paintng hands, and the one of the top and end are mine)
Well, that last one is a Miguel Angel...
And my first painting, acrylic
June 2nd, 2007, 06:39 PM
Well, some from the last week:
Useless, yes, but I use to get very bored at classroom...
July 8th, 2007, 07:59 PM
Just a quick actualisation, cause I gotta go to sleep
This time any ref, all from my head. Well, that kind of Milo's Venus is cause last tuesday and wendsday I did the exam for Arts in Madrid... but I failed :(:(:(
October 3rd, 2007, 12:19 PM
Well those are from the last month or well... half august to now... I have some more but my scanner is not working well...
I wish I will paint more from now on :)
November 14th, 2007, 10:06 AM
My last too photoshop silly things
And let's see if I have any new drawings...
I go slowly, but I go on :)
November 14th, 2007, 05:14 PM
I've just bought a Wacom Intuos3 A4 size, I'm enjoying a lot. I'm learning, I'm painting... I am... I cant explain!!! :D:D:D
November 17th, 2007, 05:43 PM
New drawing (wacom wacom wacom!!!!)
First a kind a Kurt Cobain with ref:
Eye in detail:
Trying to copy an Alex Ross Joker (this guy is da god):
I gotta say that I have lots of problems to fix mesures when I copy, when I draw from life, you know. Photoshops helps, I can change every size, but that is not the damn way, I know.
I think from now on I'll dedicate one morning a week to go and draw my city, and the rest anatomy (I still need a lot)... and well to copy alex ross again and again...
Hope somenone's gonna say something hehe
November 18th, 2007, 03:31 PM
Refs from Loomis, only lips...
The rest I've done I haven't saved so... thus is the only from today...
November 23rd, 2007, 06:06 AM
A work in progress (and I hate the hair)
And a logo for a web friend of mine:
(I really hate it cause most of it is from photoshop effects and I would have preffered to paint it... but I still don't have that level...)
November 25th, 2007, 03:42 PM
Trying to paint my hands:
First self portrait:
It seems me, but there's something around the nose that's not correct...
I'm glad to see this every-day-practicing is going well, I'm learning a lot :D
November 25th, 2007, 05:03 PM
Ok now more portraits, first mine, then others... ;)
November 26th, 2007, 03:34 PM
Portraits of two friends. The 2nd one is only from 30min, it still needs a lot of word... the other one I think is one hour and a half...
November 27th, 2007, 07:56 AM
Tuesday morning monster... ^^
November 28th, 2007, 06:36 PM
I was with anatomy and when I got bored I did this,...
Not too bad at all ^^
December 1st, 2007, 03:46 PM
The self portrait I did this morning
December 1st, 2007, 06:15 PM
I was trying to do that Mike Oldfield:
Then the result is something lijke that:
And I thoutght... oh! It seems FFVIII main character... Squall!!!
See ya (paint paint paint)
December 2nd, 2007, 03:50 PM
Trying to copy some more. I bought a women-magazin for 1€ so I could have lots of references and I've been trying to copy some this evening. The only problem is I become silly very fast and I can't take much profit from all I do... but well... that's the saved works (I've erased some, like a damn badly monstrosity that was trying to be Shigeru Miyamoto).
I'm realising that I can only do the self-portraits well. When I try with a friend or another reference, I can't with it. I don't know if it's my face (simple shapes?) or what, but... you know... I'll keep painting and painting from reference. I think that I'm much more serious about practicing and anatomy since I bought the wacom, the only problem is I forgot the rest of my life and the pen or prencil drawing... I have to leave the computer for a while :p
And then... I become silly
December 10th, 2007, 07:15 PM
What does one do while talks 1h to his girlfriend with telephone? I did that:
December 10th, 2007, 08:18 PM
Well, a last one before going bed... 10 min silly thing
That's where my coffee uses to be... Only the letters on it are missing...
Edit: I know the reflexes don't seem correct, but that's why the cup has my mobile and some pc store al around and I have only painted it...
December 11th, 2007, 06:45 AM
This morning I was trying a portrait of Mike Oldfield but as usual I couldn't so, Ive liked the hand and another cup of coffee of mine (sorry hehe), and that's the result:
And a quick self portrait
December 11th, 2007, 05:31 PM
My girlfriend bought me a sketch book for my birthday, so from now on I have a better place to draw, and that's the inauguration....
All refs from a women magazine but the crane that's my first painting
December 11th, 2007, 05:52 PM
wow! I thnk you're improving a lot, and I specially like the last one^^
December 12th, 2007, 11:29 AM
Two new pics from ref I did this morning
It's good to see what can a 1€ magazine give me :D
Draw draw draw
December 12th, 2007, 05:38 PM
Well, I've just seen a pair of drawings I haven't still uploaded, and my first tring to paint with ps a drawing:
This is a pic I did with a friend when I showed him the wacom, hi wanted to try :p
December 16th, 2007, 02:47 PM
Last one, from two days ago, kind of self portrait, but the face is to long, and there's something wrong with the nose and with the perspective. The camera was suposed to be under my face, not in front of it, so the perspective...
Well, I'm improving and that's the most important to me... I'll masterize... some day :p
PD: I just love the King Crimson's detail :p
Dwimordene: Thank you for the words, is good to see that something tells you're improving :D
December 18th, 2007, 03:44 PM
Last drawing. I have a friend who's dj and he wanted me to do something for him, for promotion, so I started with a portrait... I'm trying sheet with photoshop but is not running wel...
December 18th, 2007, 06:49 PM
Next steppp... I don't like too much but well... you know... work in progress
December 18th, 2007, 08:03 PM
And well... a silly quick poster...
I think only a metal listener can understand it :D (sorry at all)
December 24th, 2007, 07:18 AM
Two new ones from yesterday, the first is a part of my bedroom (with some creatures over there) and the other one a simple drawing with no ref...
December 24th, 2007, 12:47 PM
Before you paint something in photoshop I find it works if you pick a palette.
Consider how light reflects off the subject and how the changes in hue work.
December 25th, 2007, 09:47 AM
Welll... just to say Happy Christmas (in catalan)...
December 25th, 2007, 09:51 AM
And another one:
(very simple and suposed to be funny, the guy says: "Oh, my worst enemy, I'll have to do something with him, don't know what, but something...")
December 25th, 2007, 03:20 PM
I'm trying to know how color works, I hardly work in color so I'm null with that. I don't know what is exactly a shade for every colour, or what's up with opaciry and all that stuff... a lot to study, a lot to learn, and so much energy to expend :D
December 26th, 2007, 05:28 PM
New pic, practicing colours...
December 28th, 2007, 06:29 PM
While using tlf
December 28th, 2007, 07:38 PM
Well, another 25 min before going bed. That's a ref from a photo I took from the darkness of the net :p
January 2nd, 2008, 04:22 PM
January 2nd, 2008, 06:07 PM
I've just painted with a kind of pastel colours that mage to see how was it working... I like the result...
January 9th, 2008, 02:52 PM
New sketches... well... not fantastic... but well, i've been ill, flu, and you know, in bed all damn day...
From a mag (well, that sword...)
And some ideas:
January 28th, 2008, 04:45 PM
New sketches, long ago since last act :p
January 29th, 2008, 06:20 PM
Trying with soooome colour and filling the painting... bagh
January 30th, 2008, 06:17 PM
From, this morning. A kind of portrait / charicature from Immortals' Abbath :D
January 30th, 2008, 06:26 PM
hey man cool book
looks like you are developing your digi skills nicely
one thing about your pencils, right now they are lacking in contrast which flattens em out, it might be the scans but i would suggest getting some dark darks in there along with some lights
February 1st, 2008, 06:49 PM
dadushin: thanks again, I'll make an effort on that
Some fun today!
February 5th, 2008, 05:15 AM
First color intents with human skin (that's the colours from the photo I took myself), this is only the beginning, but when I get into it it starts to lose shapes... like allways:
I've been trying with some landscapes, well, the fact is that I tried with photos of a music group (group in the front and a wood at back) but I'm trying more and more, cause I want to work more with the back of paintings, the feeling of deep that I've never tried to.
I'll keep on that
February 5th, 2008, 06:13 AM
Yeah, no need to risk your life to save the princess. :) The monster looks cool.
February 5th, 2008, 07:44 PM
Trying with brushes and colour, and a kind of creature creating :steph:
PD: sorry about the creature :p
February 6th, 2008, 05:27 PM
That's from yesterday:
My shoes, my shoes, some trees... and stuff...
And that was started with a Misa Burton ref, but then I started to draw the face myself.... and that's the result...
February 8th, 2008, 05:51 AM
Like the last monthos I used a women magazine to copy. The ref is the center face, well... most of that is from reference... but I allways start to change everything...
February 13th, 2008, 06:43 PM
Photoshop playing with colours and being silly
An eye and a bad face :(
Can't post too much last days :(
February 14th, 2008, 02:47 PM
First serious photoshop project (I think)
I'm having as a ref the photo of a friend (Berserk's drummer) and I want to copy him first and then do the backgroung, a big wood....
That's the beginning:
Let's see what happens :D
February 14th, 2008, 02:54 PM
hey, me gusta tu estilo, un poco oscuro y muy visceral (si asi se dice), me encanto el dibujo del sacerdote dando el sermon, jajajaja. sigue compartiendo tu trabajo!
February 16th, 2008, 08:46 AM
The part on the top it's in the right direction, i'm sure, and there're a lot of good details on the head and the hair. May be he'll need more shoulders and hands are small too.
P.D.: I want one of me dressed as a blacker too! XD You'll probably anwer: bloody narcisist! yeah!
February 16th, 2008, 08:54 AM
Ah! one more thing!, if I were you i'd keep the same space of bottom over the drummer because the look is stuck very high and it needs space.
So, in my opinion: don't modify the bottom, it's perfect, or may be I'd put the drummer more to the left, in order to give more space to the look.
February 18th, 2008, 07:16 PM
lalovergel: thanks for the comment, I try to do some dark things... one is how he is. Y sí, el del sacerdote siempre he ha parecido genial. jeje
Dwimordene: many thanks for the comment and the recommendations. I think you're totally right with the hands and shoulders, the only part I've really worked on is the head. And about the composition... there is no composition, I just started to copy the photo and I left the drawing that way. Many thanks again...
And now... a colours game or something...
February 21st, 2008, 06:21 PM
Actualization of Berserk's drummer
PD: if you want to listen them, it's black metal from Ciudad Real, Spain:
Berserk's Myspace (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=51731166)
February 24th, 2008, 05:48 PM
A satyric painting in photoshop
Two other drawings...
March 22nd, 2008, 01:55 PM
Well, last weeks I couldn't scan so here are the best drawings:
March 24th, 2008, 06:28 PM
A small skech for a friends idea:
And afternoon random stuff:
March 25th, 2008, 11:52 AM
Yesterday night and this morning I've been working on a kind of ogres... I want them so stupid and you know... biiiiig hehe
March 25th, 2008, 02:37 PM
First random and the otherone is a friend of mine
March 26th, 2008, 04:03 PM
I'm suposed to be studing and nothing else... but you know... You have a pencil in front of you and...
The know what is it, but I like it.
March 27th, 2008, 07:01 PM
The last sketches for me are the best with volume. They remind me celtic patterns mixed with vegetal designs. Well done
April 10th, 2008, 05:43 PM
Dwimordene: Thanks, I think so, it's great to see not only I see the process... :)
New drawings. Not all I've done last weeks, but I have a couple of sketches for a friends film, so I think I better not show, and som useless shit...
Death Angels' singer and Dave Mustaine from Megadeth
And things I do when I'm having coffee with friends...
I'm with some photoshop stuff but, I'm studying for driving license and I better study :)
April 11th, 2008, 03:34 PM
Well, this is an image of the process it's been taking the new... thing I'm doing hehe
There's been lots of changes,IMO it is getting very well :D
April 11th, 2008, 06:40 PM
Well, final version:
I don't know what else do with it, so I think I'll leave it that way. I think I may paint some background, but I don't know what and as I haven't practiced... I'll finish it here :)
April 11th, 2008, 07:38 PM
Scary fellow in the rabbit suit! I like it!
April 13th, 2008, 03:25 PM
Flaskpost: thanks! I allway find funny those contradictions :)
Well, a drawing from two days ago:
This afternoon work:
A friends portrait (still not finished, I gotta re-start it, with the colour it all went off):
And well... a joke with ref (I added the beer and the white hair):
I'm gonna continue in a few moments :D
April 14th, 2008, 06:34 PM
This evening I've been doing a portrait. My big brother and a friend, the first one is a little joke I have done when I've started...
I still have some problems with colours and sometimes with volumen, shapes are much better, now it is easier to me to paint a portrait... weeha!
I'm happy today :)
April 18th, 2008, 09:48 AM
Drawing something afeter work and before going bed:
April 18th, 2008, 10:21 AM
I like your pencil drawings the most, they have a kind of energy about them. I think you need to focus some more on lighting in your digital pieces. Keep at it! :)
April 22nd, 2008, 04:59 PM
Saturns Gate: thank you, I feel the same. Im¡'m copying more and more photos these days cause of the lights and sahdes ;)
First, three drawings at work:
I like a lot this one, that demon hehe
Practicing angry faces
Something like an internal dialogue, half philosophic half funny (or trying to)
And yesterday night:
April 22nd, 2008, 06:19 PM
The Depressive Black Metal bunny is truly genius. Great sketchbook, great faces. I love the Metal influence.
April 28th, 2008, 06:08 PM
@Krigbrann: thank you very much, I can't explain that metal influence... but you know, it is there, waiting in Norway :p
40 Min random stuff... still don't know what about it...
May 11th, 2008, 01:54 PM
It seems I've been some time not appering here...
I'm trying to do some kind of woman-castor hero in the way of marvel... That's de first trying. It's suposed to be a woman who can transform into an assassin castor... My brother's girlfriend is not having normal ideas :p
The following image is the reference, but I only used it for the body, not for colours or shades, but I think I should use it :)
May 22nd, 2008, 03:00 PM
A quick one from tuestday:
And trying to paint skin, and some anatomy... only the arm saves :S:S
May 26th, 2008, 12:36 PM
I took a mag this afternoon and that's the result:
Last, a charicature of Opeths' Mikael Akerfedt:
June 14th, 2008, 03:42 PM
Some refs from a mag:
And a random over the first page:
Long time no posting... not inspired... see ya!
June 21st, 2008, 04:13 PM
Last photoshop thing:
Kamaiot is a kind of meat made in Majorca, and a bocata is what she's eating, a kind of chicken roll :p
July 6th, 2008, 05:36 PM
Well.. some new.. .some old
A self presentation drawing... an sketch...
My sense of humor... in spanish, maybe I'll have to translate...
Random in public transport
Long month not scaning
July 7th, 2008, 02:04 PM
From this afternoon, still trying to do a kind of presentation... but.. the demon rose...
July 10th, 2008, 04:07 AM
I like this last freaky demon! Is it made with references? Why not make more like this ?, in diferent views, like a model sheet.
July 12th, 2008, 03:41 PM
@xisco cabrer: thank you man, I allways think that about some pictures, but I get bored and I leave it, I gotta be more constant.
Well, yesterday I tried to put some colour on one of the lasts pictures... I gotta put more contrast on it or something, and I want to make some kind of background, don't know what :)
July 13th, 2008, 12:34 PM
I supose the colors are too dark or something, but I wanted to contrast the demon with the damn"background" (a bad raw tree and a blue ending)... don't know how to face it... any help? :)
July 17th, 2008, 06:16 PM
Some old drawings I've found, I did nothing last days, been taking old projects to present to the animation master MA ISCA.
I like the concept of next one, that faces or rocks, whatever...
On next, I see some Helboy...
This one must be from January
Next is a concept I want to take back. I did some kind of bald dwarfs that were constructing machines, destruction machines that they rode themselves to test them, allways ending in destruction. They were making war between them, but only to prove their machines.
And last... a Christmas school card from 2003. We did a building and each of the clasroom drawed a room, that was the mine:
That's all for now... see ya!
July 22nd, 2008, 02:04 PM
Trying with some color with the kinda mecha from the previous post...
July 24th, 2008, 03:46 PM
Yesterday I taken a diccionary and searched randomly two words, the result was obice and kid... and the result is a mixing of what google found for me, the girl ("kid") and an obice (kind of cannon)...
It's been funny...
And, I'm so happy today, I've been selected for nexts years' master MA ISCA (Master of Art in Image Synthesis and Computer Animation), that it's cursed here, in Mallorca, so I think I'll learn a lot next year, amb so so so so so happy :)
July 27th, 2008, 01:01 PM
I'm with the same, trying with the background and the deepness...
July 27th, 2008, 01:53 PM
A new from my beloved quelys (a kind of majorcan biscuits), a quick one, 20minutes... I like it, it's too hot for me... don't like that heat...
And a 20 min one with a cave reference (for the colors... but texture hasn't worked), and my blacker guy saying things!
Anti summer stuff! Fuck the sun and the heat!
July 28th, 2008, 03:32 PM
I've been drawing the last COW, and this is the first impression...
I still have to do the details (the gun, etc.) but, I think it's not bad
July 30th, 2008, 04:22 PM
Those are the two different versions of E. Nigma I've been doing for the Chow 120, don't exactly like, but, I'm bored of the to keep workin' on em...
And a kind of water demon I've just done:
July 30th, 2008, 04:32 PM
nice sb dude!! I lol @ that camelot thing! keep it up!
August 1st, 2008, 04:12 AM
I like the cow idea, maybe more contrast is needed, but the composition looks nice. I think you should correct the contrast that you puts in your figures in relation to the backgrounds, make the differences bigger. You are doing a lot of work mashote!! Keep it up.
August 4th, 2008, 05:34 AM
@shardana: Thank you mate! I'm allways doing things with metal, I have some Katatonia logos transformed, etc etc... much into metal :D
@xisco_cabrer: hey xisco! Last week I've been doing a lot, yes, a lot, maybe cause of the ma isca, you know jaja! I hope this week I could work almost "harder" than last! See ya!
August 15th, 2008, 05:02 PM
A quick one, a copy of a photo I found over a forum-mate web showed in the refs forum...
August 21st, 2008, 04:24 PM
Quick one, a speed paint.. a kind of super hero, a face, and a quick portrait of my lil bro, not bad at all ;)
August 28th, 2008, 07:11 PM
Trying to loose time in photoshop I've arrived to this:
Initially I was trying to make some kind of warrior... but it's become a hobbit, hehe.
And here some paint art I did two days ago, trying to copy the Immortals' front cover or Battles in the north:
And Mike Oldfields' Tubullar Bells:
I've been thinking too much last days, nothing to say... see ya!
September 3rd, 2008, 04:42 PM
Hi! Here I have some new stuff!
First some works with reference, something I found in the forum :)
And now some I did in the bus stop or inside the bus:
And last a guy I found in a magazine, and no, he's not Fidel Castro ;)
September 21st, 2008, 01:06 PM
Hi! Two last drawings, with one of my favourites characters, "Tomeu Quely", that is a buiscuit from Mallorca.
An last two scans:
Before 3 beers...
After the 3 beers in a dark bar...
September 24th, 2008, 08:26 PM
Well, I quick one that was not suposed to be that... maybe I'll resize it till normal...
I've been usind the Procreate painter and is awesome to sketch! I think I know it from the forum, but I can't remember, I've got it for 2 years not using... mmm I like it!
September 28th, 2008, 02:22 PM
Just hanging around psd...
October 11th, 2008, 03:32 PM
Hi! I've been totally absent for 2 weeks cause changes in one's life, so... here am I.
I'll post today some characters design, it is am exercise for the master I am cursing. The teacher has been Carlos Granjel, from Granjel Studio (character designer for Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, Balto and a long etcetera). So that's it:
Tomorrow I'll post all the drawings I've made in class, I like a lot some of them.
October 12th, 2008, 09:36 AM
Some of my class drawings! I draw while listening, I can't avoid doing it! hehehe
October 26th, 2008, 10:36 AM
More drawings made in class. I'vent got much time to be working on anatomy cause when I arrive home late evening I've got no strengh to make anything... so...
Sorry: absurd comments in spanish
A lovely frog
A fairy design for a class mate and a design for my waiter in a gore short animation film.
And the terrible:
October 26th, 2008, 11:12 AM
October 30th, 2008, 10:39 AM
Well, those are some designs for a short I'm thinking about. I've already have the storyboard, but I did it too quick so the quality is not the best:
And the scenes:
October 31st, 2008, 07:24 PM
Tot això ho has fet a clase procastinatori!!
molt millor es colors.
November 3rd, 2008, 12:25 PM
@Dwimordene: Thanks mate! You're talking writting less than you use to...
@Xisco: yes! I've been working hard... in useless things! Hehehehe
Well, first copies from a mag:
And some more character design:
November 8th, 2008, 10:59 AM
And some designs for a little animation I gotta do (well... it's an animated storyboard). It's a short about a pirate's race, just funny and Monkey Island inspirated ;)
November 15th, 2008, 12:52 PM
Hi! This week I've got some designs and images from an animatic (in colour) I did. The thing is that I'm crazy for sure, one can't make an animatic in colour and be a normal person hehe. If you want to see all it'll be in my art blog ( http://protoartist.blogspot.com ):
I've got more things but I'm pretty tired today...
November 15th, 2008, 05:12 PM
New pic, still working on it (and a lot of work left). I'm looking forward recomendations. I know that lava or fire has to affect the character, but I better want to finish giving the "normal" colour (I'm still pretty noob on that), before giving the final touch. Anatomy fails a lot and it fails less than last week, it was a kind of hipermusculated horrible man-woman hehehe
December 6th, 2008, 02:11 PM
Well, first the things I'm doing while my computer is rendering hehehe... Not finished, but I need to change what I'm doing all time...
And some 3D, first one of my first models, and then the ilumination I did yesterday (the models are not mine, they've been given to me..):
December 11th, 2008, 05:27 PM
I continue thinking that the red nose is too hard. More smoothy will be better.
December 14th, 2008, 12:07 PM
New portrait of a friend and a quick one:
December 22nd, 2008, 07:49 AM
Well, two new ones... in reality it is one. I did it at school while my pc was rendering with Maya (the computer gets much slower when you are with photoshop... but well...), so here it is:
PS: I won't say Merry Xmas or something cause I don't care about all that ;)
December 22nd, 2008, 09:34 AM
then I'll say it Merry Christmas, ha ha and I really like this green guy, I would clean the edges and his chin is off center, fix this and you have a great piece, especially the chin piece and his eyes... also you have a lot of personality in this SB in general!! Great job dude and again Merry XMAS.
December 26th, 2008, 05:33 PM
Portrait of Jorn Lande, my favourite singer (w Glenn Hughes). I like the pic where this come from:
December 26th, 2008, 07:28 PM
So much creativity...
You leave me awe-inspired, sir. Good Job!
January 3rd, 2009, 11:32 AM
@Bullsey: thanks mate, don't think there's that much in here, but if you tell me, I must believe you ;)
So, here, two sketches for a collaboration with a friend. The final sketch is none of those, I'll post it when all is finished, the other guy has to put color on that. Then, those are the pics:
January 11th, 2009, 07:23 AM
First the trying I'm doing for the COW:
And now, the things I do at school when I get bored of being modelling in 3D, I cannot stay all day :)
January 11th, 2009, 02:27 PM
Finally that's the result of last CHOW:
January 17th, 2009, 07:30 AM
thanks for commenting in my sketchbook, it's really empty otherwise :P
January 18th, 2009, 10:32 AM
Well, that's a collaboration with a friend.
Original idea and drawing: Zarquino
When gods bleed music sounds
January 18th, 2009, 01:41 PM
Two new drawings. First one is an idea I've been working for a long time, and the other one is more my dumb ideas.
January 20th, 2009, 01:56 PM
well, i have seen your works from 2006 and I see big progress man!
The grenade concept is cool, but it seems that can be improved with more volume, look at this grenade http://www.conceptart.org/?artist=SamBrown36# is too much realistic for your concept but you understand what I mean about the contrast (darker shadows and more blinn :)).
January 28th, 2009, 10:31 AM
Well, here I have some weeks work. I couldn't upload them cause I'vent got internet on my flat, so I have to wait till I have free time at school.
All of them are made with no references. For the 4 first I took a palette I used for 3D textures. I'm so excited cause I think I'm improving a lot.
(Is saying: "I'm a deformed and useless being"
I've been working a lot on that next one, but I'm still not happy with it (as most of next):
Wolverine... like the skin coulours, but the picture got its own way and it is quite bad.
I should work more on that one, pretty cool for me.
I cannot understand how I did this one, I just love it.
March 1st, 2009, 09:14 AM
Hi everyone! I've been trully absente cause it's been 3 intense weeks of 2d traditional animation at school, terribly intense and on weekends I'm so tired I can't move and scan drawings, so for now I only have one.
Well, that's the last "design" I did. There's a associaton of "Devils" in Majorca, it's a little part of our culture. That culture it's about fire and party. Devils are a kind of mixture between actores and firemakers, we make people dance and scream with us, the demons. And that logo is for that association, made to regulate the other associations and the use of fire. This one was rejected, but it was fun for me to do.
Maybe this afternoon I can upload some more images ;)
March 12th, 2009, 10:24 AM
Hi, everyone! It's been long time no posting. Last week I finished traditional animation and started 3D animation, and that's taking a lot of time, but I'm working more with computer than when I was with the damn 2D drawings, hehe.
Here's a pirate screaming, screaming like any other pirate in that world. It just came up itself, so here it is.
Now some unfinished sketches:
And I'm working on next one, trying to make the enviro better than usually, or better say... making it. I never work backgrounds, and I think I better improve on that.
Last one is one of my usual "black metal inspired", two mates playings games in the cave they live in.
It is not finished, but I think I'll start again, cause I like the idea but the drawing went wrong and got far from the original.
That's all for today.
March 18th, 2009, 10:47 AM
Well good friki art!
March 19th, 2009, 08:35 AM
Well, some new paintings, mostly quick sketches.
And I'm still working on that one, backgrounds, and all that stuff:
March 20th, 2009, 08:21 AM
Hey, more friki sketches! good work!
I think you must work in some of them, specially the poster of the black metal army, and maybe you can make a Beast library.
March 23rd, 2009, 10:32 AM
Hi! Some more drawings!
Little changes on the doorkeeper, I think I like it some more now, but it's not correct, have to fix the arms.
Now, that sketch of that kind of dinosaur hunter, I did it on Friday and it is not that ugly. I worked more on shades than on shapes, I almost think so...
The new one I started on Friday too. Wanted a kind of barbarian on a medieval throne, so it seemed it was the result of a war or something. As an sketch is not too bad for me, but still needs work...
March 25th, 2009, 08:15 AM
Well, act from the kinda king, and a new one, working on colours:
March 25th, 2009, 12:22 PM
The king sketch have a good rendering, but it have a "making popo" posture, that seems very unnatural, you have to think about foreshortening and the big mases for correcting easily that.
March 26th, 2009, 08:06 AM
Hi! Xisco, you very fan of mine! :p Thanks for the comment, I think you're trully right, he seems to bee making poo, but, you know... too much work to get back, but, yes, it is one of the things I must fix. I think that as I've been improving with anatomy I've lost much of the rest...
Well, two new ones made yesterday:
This one more sketchy and dedicated to my italian friends ;)
And this one is still not finished (as many much) but I like the way it goes:
PD: many act lately
March 27th, 2009, 06:41 AM
Hi! New drawings, I'm working a lot this week!
I like a lot this one, I don't know why!
And at last another version of an old one:
April 2nd, 2009, 09:43 AM
hi! Some new today!
More shades and lights than any other thing...
April 5th, 2009, 06:44 PM
New one just from now. I've taken a reference and just added blood hehehe
April 6th, 2009, 07:42 AM
Barbarian from this morning. I'm doing something with some friends, with early ages concept... I wanted to draw kinda barbarian
These days I'm working with references, sometimes is less imaginative, but, well, I think is what I need right now.
April 12th, 2009, 02:25 AM
Very nice sketches this last two posts!! For the black metal army the hand needs to have an strong foreshortening.
The Procrastinators is our team, I am suscribed.
April 19th, 2009, 04:16 PM
You're coming along great!
Keep it up and don't forget about traditional media!
May 4th, 2009, 05:16 AM
Hi! Lots of new ones! First, the Team CHOW designs:
And some new crapy ones:
Let's see whats next :D
May 5th, 2009, 04:22 PM
These are very nice characters, the only problem is with the hero, her face is too rigid and she's turning her head at an awkward angle. You can fix this by making turn at a more 3/4 angle, looking away from the viewer but not looking directly to the right. Hope this helps.
May 7th, 2009, 11:18 AM
Hi Bullsey! Thanks for the comment, and, yes, you're right, I don't know if I will fix that. I mean... I never turn back on past drawings, I know is a way to improve, but I usually prefer to make new things :) Thanks anyway :D:D
May 8th, 2009, 04:43 AM
Hi! Some new pics:
I'm trying to work a little big more with lights... I hope this weekend I could have time to work on something... to get further :)
May 25th, 2009, 02:28 PM
New quick ones:
Too much time inverted on the projecte, I hope I could upload some designs next week, see ya!

Hi! It's been a while! I am in full-time projecte in which I am two weeks late, so don't have much time to be around here ,but those are the last I did, as allways I'm happy because I think this year I'm improving a lot :)
July 29th, 2009, 05:27 AM
Hi! Here some new pictures:
First a step forward:
A design for the short animation film I am working on:
And now... geting bored...
August 5th, 2009, 11:04 AM
And the last thing I did:
I'm starting again with anatomy, as it seems is the only thing I'm not improving much in :)
August 12th, 2009, 04:25 PM
Well, I'm trying to spend about 30 minutes every day in a portrait.. and those are the first results...
August 14th, 2009, 11:53 AM
Three new portraits! I'm spending about an hour every day :D
August 23rd, 2009, 02:47 PM
Just done this one: about 3/4hour :p
August 24th, 2009, 01:02 PM
Another portrait, Gojira's singer, Joe Duplantier.
September 2nd, 2009, 01:54 PM

I'm happy about what I'm doing with portraits.
And I'm glad to say that I'm starting ilustration superior studies in October, very very happy about that... :)
September 3rd, 2009, 08:23 PM

December 1st, 2009, 04:33 AM
Now two quick drawings I did lastly. I havent been much around here, I'm cursing Illustration at the school of arts, here in Majorca, and I hardly remember to scan anything, but those days I'll try. Maybe tomorrow I'll upload the watercolor thing I'm in ;)
December 3rd, 2009, 04:36 AM
Here a watercolor version of a photo from Peter Beste:
I've never used this technique before, so it has been hard, but, after all, I like the result.
I'll add some others... some studies, I spent about an hour and something on ech-
December 8th, 2009, 01:28 PM
Ink version, it took a couple of hours, happy with it for now.
I didn't use pencil for the sketch, cause the exercise was about usign ink with brush and not sketching, working directly on paper.
December 24th, 2009, 01:18 PM
A quick portrait (it is a very little spending an hour or less in a portrait) from one of the biggest artists from Mallorca, Tomeu Penya :)
Adding Emperors' leader, Ihsahn:
December 25th, 2009, 07:06 PM
Another portrait. Face tells everything: long party celebrating the triumph of Barcelona in last league hehe
For next time I'll try to put colors myself, for the last ones I just picked up them from the image... not very... instructive that way...
December 28th, 2009, 02:37 PM
First, two landscapes (very sketchy) from, reff. I really think it's time to get serious about all this:
Then another portrait, my friends are all afraid thinking who's next hehehe
January 4th, 2010, 11:23 AM
Well, I keep on ladscapes and protraits. I've seen an Istambul montain photograph and has evoked something... something like this:
Im (still) on a portrait from "Breaking bad" first character, Malcolm's in the middle father, but I think it will still take a while :D
January 6th, 2010, 04:14 PM
A pair of animals I've done for a school work:
I think I'll let them that way, this work was more about the design of a Zoo than making animals hehehe
January 11th, 2010, 01:44 PM
I think (hope) I'm finishing this today :D
January 30th, 2010, 03:19 PM
Tomorrow evening I'll scan my anatomy studies (bones for now) :D
January 30th, 2010, 06:09 PM
A quick funny one :)
February 13th, 2010, 09:13 AM
More practicing on photoshop
Graphite on A3, Steven Wilson is a Grrrreat musician:
And Mikael Akerfeldt (again), blackboard (A3):
That's all for now :D
February 21st, 2010, 08:46 AM
Last thing. Some friends are going to publish an art mag and I was told to participate. The concept is evolution, and this is the result of nearly 3 hours of "making..."
March 1st, 2010, 01:00 PM
Two new things... an experiment and a study for work...
March 6th, 2010, 10:04 AM
A lion with pencils, more school work :)
March 7th, 2010, 06:02 PM
Sunday afternoon work!
March 8th, 2010, 06:58 AM

March 10th, 2010, 12:46 PM
A monster attacks the city!
Work work work!
March 12th, 2010, 02:45 PM
First copying from refs. I have too problems with color, so...
And then a little of fun :D
March 12th, 2010, 05:08 PM
I have got some problems w the perspective, I'm trying to fix that out. I really like the colors, and that's why I'm working more on this one :D
March 20th, 2010, 07:08 PM
Another one with color pencils:
Lots of scales!
March 23rd, 2010, 05:37 AM
Study from life:
I got lots of sketches from school, but too lazy now to scan them :p
March 25th, 2010, 06:15 AM
More drawing w. references!
March 25th, 2010, 05:18 PM
Recently done portrait, photo from ref:
April 1st, 2010, 07:00 PM
I wanted to go further in photoshop painting, so I decided to do one of those I've allways been thinking about: kinda barbarian trying to hunt a big dragon.
I used no references but the color from some photographs.
Photoshop, Wacom Intuos3 A4, about 4hours.
April 2nd, 2010, 09:56 AM
I keep working on photoshop.
Photoshop, Wacom Intuos3 A4, bout 5hours.
April 5th, 2010, 12:53 PM
Reference: "We moved in silence 2" by 'hakan photography, taken from deviantart.

May 4th, 2010, 05:22 AM
Well, here some horse studies:
May 11th, 2010, 06:34 AM
Some new ones:
May 16th, 2010, 02:25 PM
Hi, two new ones. One pastel, more school work and one acrylic that's the present from the 18th Birthday of my sister:
May 17th, 2010, 07:41 AM
Yesterday, 10th of May died Ronnie James Dio, one of the best rock voices...
May 17th, 2010, 07:58 AM
Hail to Dio. \m/
But say NO to Opeth (Pink Frothy AIDS).
May 20th, 2010, 12:22 AM
You said on my sb that you have problems with straight lines and vanishing points.
Both are things that need to be practiced. Vanishing points are actually really simple. It's just a matter of biting the bullet and doing it, being really anal-retentive about that part of the process.
As for straight lines, the line tool is your friend. The line tool and shift-clicking. Other than that, they're another thing that can be practiced.
June 5th, 2010, 03:01 PM
A new acrylic! Well, happy with it. I took as reference a promotional photo from the Breaking Bad series :D
I'm with lots of anatomy and color studies nowdays... everything is good! :)
June 16th, 2010, 09:13 AM
New pic! I wanted to make something in the middle of the desert, and here it is. I should put something more in the color, not just more contrast in some parts, I mean something more, more color...
June 16th, 2010, 03:13 PM
and a closeup:
Anyway the only interesting thing it's at the closeup, so...
June 18th, 2010, 03:48 PM
A WIP I hope I can finish this weekend. I done it while I wait for the next CHOW and COW, now that I've finished school I'll have more time :)
June 26th, 2010, 09:10 AM
For the new CHOW and COW!
June 29th, 2010, 03:10 PM
Two new pieces:
July 5th, 2010, 01:52 PM
Some new ones:
July 7th, 2010, 04:31 PM
Colors and heads... and colors...
July 11th, 2010, 03:26 PM
First, a random face:
And then something with random refs:
July 28th, 2010, 04:13 PM
Well, I working as every Summer and ain't got all the time I wished...
Here's the process of the image I'm working on right now:
Crits are wellcome!
August 1st, 2010, 04:48 PM
Well I've been half of July around this... got lots of things to do (school Summer homework) for now... so it's done!
August 15th, 2010, 06:25 PM
SOme new ones:
November 29th, 2010, 04:03 AM
Hi, everyone! I've been out for a month but I'm right back :)
Here you have my last work for school, I think it took like four weeks. Final work was done in about... 20 hours, in 2 days, allways late. It's been the biggest work I've done in all ways. I had to use an existing place - La Riera is a little river in the center of Palma, Mallorca - with its architecture and ambient, add people and a big monster that makes people go crazy. Happy with it at all.
Crthlamhar, Monster of la Riera
Acrylic on wood
February 13th, 2011, 09:57 AM
Hi! Lately I haven't been around, so I'll put some of the last ones, everything may be too much! I'm still not using photoshop, everything is acrylic, ink and pencil... :D
I'm working in to big ones, first is a "hypotethical front cover for New Yorker" and the other one is for a... little contest, I'll published them in its moment ;)
May 14th, 2011, 01:08 PM
It's been a while since my last appereance over here! Son, here some of my last! I've got others in the blog, but I don't think it's good to put 200 images per post :D
Those 6 are 3 adult and 3 child versions of some illustrations for a book. The tale is "The dark man", from Robert E Howard.
Now some other illustrations - all for school, by the way -.
Skinned version of myself:
Well, I got some more, but... better not too much...
July 15th, 2011, 11:12 AM
I am drawing and drawing and drawing!!!
I have a lot of new porttraits, but this is enought for today! :D
July 18th, 2011, 01:09 PM
And now... for something completely different... Portraits!
July 18th, 2011, 01:32 PM
Your pencil works are great and have a lot of looseness to them
but you have to work on form, especially in your digital paintings.
This really shows in the first 4 paintings in your update from May 14th.
There's either light or shadow and almost nothing in between. Large planes with solid color will never appear three-dimensional.
Also, pick a lightsource before you start shading and make sure all objects are consistent with this lightsource.
July 19th, 2011, 11:10 AM
@Xelar: Many thanks, I think you're right, and that's where I am :) I'll listen to your words and practice those things.
July 22nd, 2011, 09:11 PM
COW WIP and Walter White!
July 25th, 2011, 07:26 AM
Another portrait. This is one of the greatest persons in Spain... another sonofhermother that steals with the laught in the face...
August 1st, 2011, 10:55 AM
Two new ones. The bearded one is some kind of metal legend - but not a good person btw - and the wrestling star is a friend of mine.
I've been trying with new brushes - some of them work perfectly well, I love them - and shapes. The thing is lastly I depend too much on photo ref, don't think it's bad, but better not to need it that much.
August 1st, 2011, 04:02 PM
Random with the new brushes :)
August 3rd, 2011, 11:08 AM
Color study, a quick sketch - too see, in vain, if I was capable of something (wrong) -, and a little concept - with color ref., of course -.
August 7th, 2011, 10:19 AM
More concepts and quick shit:
The first two are quick - about 40 minutes each - and the last one was about to be a big building - all very creepy - and finally there's no big building, no creepness... ugh...
I like the color at all :)
August 7th, 2011, 10:26 AM
Wow, you've made a lot of progress during your little break there. Keep posting!
August 8th, 2011, 11:10 AM
@GHudston: I've been like a year touching a little the computer, doing nearly all with my own hands - with pencils or acrylic -, I think this makes the difference :) I'll keep posting, thanks for watching!
More, more and more. The more hours I spend drawing the more I want to expend on this, this is crazy.
The first one took me like an hour yesterday and the second 3 today, I start to understand brushes and stuff with psd.
August 10th, 2011, 09:00 AM
Hi everyone! Yesterday I tried to make things faster, those two characters i like an hour - including sketching and stuff -.
Not a bad result IMO
August 10th, 2011, 03:54 PM
Hour and forty minutes. I've started that as a simple exersize en finally... kinda like it!
August 14th, 2011, 04:24 PM
Some studies/fun/quickies and a little joke - that took me too much time!
And the complet Sagat:

Two concepts for a friend's game idea. First kinda Cathedral of Magicians - pretty much inspired by the Reykjavyk cathedral - and second kinda norwegian town, next to the fjords.
This goes with the two characters, the little house in the forest and the desert temple. It's been funny :)

There's a tremendous leap of skill between your first post a year ago and now, i find that very exciting! Anatomy's still a bit wonky (Sagat's knee for example looks like someone treated it with an iron pîpe) and you can still work on keeping the values a bit closer together in the unreffed stuff, but overall nice pics, especially the traditional portraits.

Thanks for the comment, that's what I'm trying to do... study, draw, and again - and again -. :)

Three more portraits from the Music "collection":
I'm trying with mixed media (acrylic, watercolor, watercolor pencils, pastel, pencils...)... but I think finally I'll work with watercolor or watercolor pencills.
I like watercolor because of the intensity of the color, and the watercolor pencils, cause they're easy to use - and I use them, for the initial shapes, instead of using pencils - and then you can use water with them :)

@Aragah: thanks, mate! Really apreciated. I'm working hard - hard enough - those days, and, well, one can see results there :)
Well, some new things.
For the portrait series I think I'll put maximum effort on the resemblance, it seems that the color comes on its own way, so I better put the energy in the shape. Here's the new one:
And, well, I have a lot of handmade sketches: studies from ref, lots of posemaniacs shapes and sketches, some colors... but, well, they're in my sketchbook. I'm putting some more effort on the anatomy those day. And if not today, nor tomorrow.. .next month will come the results :)
And now a 2 hours - or similar - new one :)

First attempt to start a thing in paper, giving some color and finishing it with computer, I like it a lot!

Another portrait, and right now I'm trying to go back to 3D, cause next Monday I'm starting an internship in a videogame company. Wish me luck :)

dude, this piece rocks:
the colors are super-moody and the beard is extremely well executed.

@Meteorcat: thank you for everything, I wish everywithg goes well :)
@xbert: hehe, this has been one piece I did without think it, I just did it. I don't mean with the other very-colored portraits there is a extrem mental exercise, but, this just came up :)
Now some sketches, I've got like 10 times this - all new -, but I'll only show some :)
Can someone recognise this guy? :)
And I may use this last one for the band of a friend :)
