We've established a sketchgroup in Melbourne, and now we're looking for fellow CA members to come along! We want to expand the group as much as possible, especially after the vibe from the Montreal Workshop.
We try to meet at least fortnightly every Sunday afternoon. Anyone is welcome!
Post up here to get the ball rolling (Bumskee, I'm looking at you!) and we'll start organising dates. I have no idea how many Australians we've got here on these fine forums, but this is a good place to start!

I'm going to start trying to make this a weekly thing from now on (because I need the practice), so come on down if you can make it! I'll make that clock the usual meeting place for now, since it's more central and it's indoors out of the cold!
I've got an exisitng thread over at cgtalk as well:

Still running, but you may want to pop me a pm to check whether it's running the Sunday you want to come. It's been quite busy for a lot of us, so we often change times/venue.

The general flow is this:
1PM: Meet up and lunch. We generally always do this before drawing now.
1:30PM-2:00PM: Find a good location and draw, depending on amount of people and weather.
5:00PM: Home. This can vary greatly. :P

Hi everyone!
We've been getting some new people recently (great to see you!), but I think you're getting a little thrown by the lunching thing we do beforehand, so here's the plan:
* At 1:00PM we will meet as usual, and lunch first, which usually involves some kind of Yum Cha.
* If you do not want to lunch and just want to sketch, meet at the rendevous point at 2:00PM, or get there at 1:00PM and sketch anyway! Lunchers will endeavour to be back by 2:00PM.
I think a few of you have come a little late and not found us at the meeting point since we've been off eating. Hopefully this will clear things up.

Today will probably have people coming at different times. If there is no one there, just sketch anyway! I personally will be late today (more like 2pm or 3pm).
AND REMEMBER IT'S NO LONGER DAYLIGHT SAVING TODAY!

Erilaz
March 1st, 2008, 10:29 PM
We've all been fairly slack recently due to heavy workloads and general procrastination. Normal sketchiness will resume at some point in the near future, but don't let that stop anyone still meeting at the same proscribed time. This is a sketchgroup for all artists, not just the people who started it up and then got lazy/busy. :)

Right, I think it's going to be a lot cooler the next few days, so... I'll be there this Sunday (yes it's Easter Sunday), 1pm on the steps of the GPO shopping centre near the giant marble purse. I'm not quite sure what my plans are at the moment, or if anybody else wants to join in, but yeah...I'll be the 5ft tall sketchbook-wielding Asian girl :)
Cheers
