*updated all new pics.. they are in color now* tho i liked the detail shots in black and white i am replacing them with the color.. hope to get some comments now that they look "correct"

Hello. im out of the university for the summer and i have finally started going through some works i did.. here is an 18 x 24 inch pencil and gesso wash drawing i did. .. Would appreciate som comments about it (anything you wish to say) from the wonderful artist on these boards :)

if the pics are too big i can change them i wanted to show the mark detail in the drawing and it was hard to keep them small in size and file size do to the detail

and the first pic is a bit washed out cause i have the drawings covered for protection , :( i will try to take a better picture of it later today , so if you see strange light areas it is the accetate covering reflecting light thanks !

edited ok ( listens for laughter ) i took some more shots of the full piece and finally realised i had the camera in black and white :P so here is the (real life color version) which turned out a ton better hehe hope you like this better cause i do :D you can actually see the gesso usage in the shot now.. perehaps i will update the details as well.. check back later for those ... sorry for the dumb camera stuff..

Not bad
The model could have looked like that but to me her right tit looks odd.

hey nicodemus,

your hatching and texture is really nice, also the anatomy is ok i think. only thing that's to crit, is that the viewer cant tell which side the light is coming from, which gives this piece a 'muddy' look. consider the light direction in your next piece and try to give the drawing some more volume.

blue ribbon for a constructive comment goes to retro, thanks :)

the rest of you.. :wtf: i mean seriously.. what kind of community spirit is it to view this thing almost 300 times and only 2 people leave comments and one is about a weird looking boob

good grief

i wont be posting more here in the near future

Yeah I think retro is right...there isn't enough contrast. I think if you worked on toned paper and did the gesso wash it make the form pop out a lot more.

Good lord. don't whine so much what makes you think every ones going to comment on every post?

the right breast looks like its being pilled to the right side of her body by her arm or something. that's what I was talking about

A lot of post go through with no replies at all, those people at least except that no one likes it enough to comment. And they go back to the sketch book.

Draw for your self, if someone comments great!
if they don't, whatever, move one and keep drawing.

@nicodemus:

dont take it to seriously if ppl dont reply to your posts. i'm one of the fuckers myself, hardly giving any crits, i just browse and look at all the nice pieces (i'm just too lazy). dont turn away, i'd like to see some more of your works.
