When I finish a digital painting in photoshop and go to 'save for web' or 'save as', the saved jpg is far darker then the working space image. I have read all I can about color managment, and have an SRGB workspace. I am however still unable to fix the problem.

A curious effect is that when I set one of the too-dark jpegs as a desktop backgound, the colours look lighter again.

Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Does your graphic's card have the same profile as the one you have in PS?

My graphics cart requires the .Net framework to install the drivers, so I didn't actually install them :S

Something like this happened to one of my coworkers... he fixed it by right-clicking on the preview image in the "save for web" popup... and selecting "uncompensated color".
