Nice find. It's worth looking through old and tiny weird bookshops for gems like that. I picked up a bunch of handy Osprey Military reference books for half price at my local bookshop - they just seem to accumulate books and never sell them, so the price keeps going down till I buy them :)

I also got my girlfriend an original copy of Creative Illustration for christmas, but it didn't come with a dust jacket. Great find!

Lucky!!

I'd 'bout give up a nut for a copy of Successful Drawing, it's possibly one of the best books on perspective I've ever seen.

I luckily have all of his books on PDF.

That being said, I would have freaked out had I seen that in a bargain bin. That is absolutely amazing.

Wow! Congrats on that find!

Yes these things can happen. About 10 years ago I found a first edition of Figure Drawing for all it's Worth in the Strand bookstore in New York City ( South Street Seaport ) for 25.00. Inside there's a stamp that stays, From the Library of Don Heck, who I found out was an old school comic artist guy. Guess he used to own it.

I've been hitting bookstores ever since trying to score Creative Illustration, so nice work you lucky bastard!

Heh my mum picked up Creative Drawing for AU$2 at a garage sale a few weeks back :^^:

Beware, actual loomis books have a terrible curse and should be sent to me for de-spiriting.

I was actually going to go to a bookstore tomorrow and see if they have any copies of any Loomis book.

That's a great find though.
