I've been asked by my sister to create a poster for a local gig and im planning to create in photoshop. But a wondering popped into my head, what should I be weary of when taking something out of photoshop and printing it onto paper? I have had a couple of issues before with colour managment function which has ment when printing pictures (or even just opening them in another program), makes work apear discoloured.

Is there anything I will have to do to make sure that the colours come out perfectly (or close to it at least ;))?

Any help or suggestions are very welcome.

thanks

where do you plan on printing?... talk to printers, I'm sure they know....

use a panotone pallet, don't necessarily rely on your screen though, it can be off clibration so find an already printed one and pick your colors from that. any printer can match panotone colors, they are your friends when it comes to printing.
