I figured we are doing way too many cliffs and beautiful pretty landscapes, we need more dingy grit :D
well, it can be all pretty if you like with huge open windows and fully mechanised robots building hairdriers in some exotic location, ranging from tank construction of the future, to steampunk construction workshops, industrial revolution or.. wel let your imagination run wild :) this one seems a little more boxed in but restrictions help creativity :)
April 8th, 2006, 07:10 PM
:) awsome topic red, no doubt this round will be good too!
April 8th, 2006, 09:31 PM
Massive Assembly Line hey??
Is it counted if i draw 20 or so mad artists around desks with SF bay in the background?
April 9th, 2006, 12:57 AM
oh man....tough project!
hmmm.....must tap min's brain while he isn't looking. :)
April 9th, 2006, 05:23 AM
Tough, but indeed a great topic Red!:teeth:
April 9th, 2006, 09:12 AM
oh man.... is right.. Im a technophobe. this ones for Goran and Hideyoshhi. I was thinking of a group of Massive Greek Gods assembling Pandora... each one adding something. heh . dunno I may skip this one and work on Girls thunderdome this week. But that would be cowardly...we'll see..
April 9th, 2006, 09:33 AM
Oh come on kids, tech doesnt mean you cant be painterly! come on chaosrocks, your one of the most consistent people we have here, dun skip this one ;)
it can range from feng with markers and perfect perspective and every little detail worked out, to an incredibly painterly sparth landscapes :D

Sorry form my foulishness but what is a Massive Assembly Line? :bashful:
I am not english you know
April 9th, 2006, 10:01 AM
You could always do an organic assembly line. Think bacteria, or a vine pulley system operated by monkeys.
April 9th, 2006, 02:58 PM
well, massive implying really really big, so a huge assembly line
and assembly line:
that describes it better then i ever could.
so pretty much a huge ol factory with things being built systematicaly
April 9th, 2006, 03:45 PM
GAHHHH!! this will be such a challenge.. i'll try to find time between school/work. exciting. ;)
April 11th, 2006, 06:05 PM
massive!! oh god - well, goodbye daylight! This should be great! :)
April 13th, 2006, 12:06 AM
What, noone here yet? Geesh, I guess I'll have to dip my toe in first then.
"You are unique, just like everyone else."

Very nice works guys! Great topic! here is my wip.
April 13th, 2006, 07:17 AM
well It doesn't look Like Im going to finish this...the competition is stiff and I doidn't orecisely follow the directions so it probably wouldn't go to poll anyway (not "massive") but just so you can see that I did do some work on this...
I call it "Spring Valley High class of 2050, Assembly and roll call....
ran out of time

The manufacture of giant nuclear toasters is a delicate procedure. It proved to complex for robots, and to dangerous for humans. The only solution; giant, human piloted, toaster assembly mechs.

Year 3011. In a time of heavy warfare, the mass production of warships is a necessity, favoring quantity over quality. Massive cruiser assembly plant/production on Planet Gisro.

Nice one Rushtoy, great atmosphere.
April 14th, 2006, 05:11 PM
Really nice work everyone!
Automated space shuttle production, for public use, has been active since the later years of the 22nd century. The main assembly line is regulated by an outsourced inspection agency hired by the manufacturers. The record number of fully functioning units made in one day, so far, has been 487.
April 14th, 2006, 10:08 PM
damn adam, how uve improved is incredible. well sone.
April 15th, 2006, 12:45 AM
Coastal production lines like this were built on the enemy shorelines to produce war craft under their radar systems. The installations were self-installed by automated robots, and took roughly 3 days to construct. Shipped in by slow moving, cloaked submarines, if positioned correctly these installations could remain undetected for long periods of time while they ammassed a flotilla of war craft.
Felt stuck on this one.

awsome stuff everyeone,
ohjay, the faces are awsome.
rushtoy, sweet stuff.
yAdam, :) love the depth.
Form, really like the approach on the seaside.
hehe, i thought assembly line as in mass of people assembled.. *sigh* and started working on this idea, then I went back to read the brief again and then I realised I had the whole thing wrong.. :$
Anyways, here's my entry
Rebellion forces took refuge in ruined warehouses on the outskirts of the city. Here they researched and developed weaponry for mobile militia units.

April 15th, 2006, 06:11 PM
i screamed "AHHHHHHHH" when i saw some of your submittions. there's no way in heaven or hell i could make some of that stuff at this point of my artistic abilities. but i will work my hardest to get that awesome!!
WOW... i love them all so much!
April 15th, 2006, 09:47 PM
This is awesome guys. I love EoW so much, soo many skilled participants in here it hurts.
yAdam and mr.blonde - you really nailed the 'massive' part here,
bumskee - I agree with form, the speculars are plain sexy
rushtoy - stunning atmosphere
form - cool concept and sweet, economic brush strokes. Yay.
brandx - definitely the funniest take on the project
chaosrocks - cool, we could have joined our submissions - yours do the faces, mine the torsos ;)
rawwad - best perspective in history AND original colour palette
michamachtlos - sweet first entry. The font is a bit overpowering though?
mattgamer - get in here man, now! No time for drooling, time for droodling!
April 16th, 2006, 01:00 PM
good idea ohjay...I saw that we were thinking along similar tracks.. you should finish though...yours has more potential than mine.
I don't think collaboration is allowed though.
April 16th, 2006, 02:28 PM
I still remember the old robot factory where my father worked, the smell of
machine oil, polished metal and the buzzing sound of robot welders.
Now the factory is closed like many others monuments of communist era
Waiting to be sold as scrap metal by the pound together with my all childhood memories.
April 16th, 2006, 05:49 PM
