View Full Version : Are Churches Getting Gods Message ?

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this"Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven, And pour out for you such blessing, That there will not be room enough to store it." (Malachi 3, v10).

Why do many Churches wonder why they are having so many problems? Is it because they dont show charity to the stranger at the doors of their Churches called by Gods name? Dosent God "Administer justice for the fatherless, and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing."?(Deuteronomy 10, v18) Why cant we? Are we looking for money when we invite others to our Churches?
"When you give a dinner or supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives nor rich neighbors, lest they pay you back, and you be repaid."
"But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind"
"And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just" (Luke 14, v 12-14)
Dont worry, those coming to your doors.....are just a test.

I never knew there was a sunglasses smiley chapter in deuteronomy, I should have payed more attention.

Anyway already have a religion. It's a cult actually, the starving artist cult, and I am the terrorist leader. You guys wanna join? We're thinking of partnering with bluemech's anti-human party.

All you have to do is be a bit hungry and occasionally say "I could go for some ramen", then watch tv and draw for a bit.

(Actually the starving artist cult and me being a terrorist were suggested by some scammer on irc, but hey, who am I to throw out a good idea?)

There shall, in that time, be rumours of things going astray, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia work base, that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o'clock. Yea, verily, at that time, it is written in the book of Obadiah. A man shall strike his donkey and his nephew's donkey and anyone in the vicinity of his nephew or the donkey.

but seriously, what do you guys think is the most evul. 1 bloody gruesum human sacrifice or death to millions of ppl who dont dig that god.

religion is so scary and to see today grownups killing eachother and whatnot over some ancient gods is really disturbing.blowing themselfs up becouse they think that they will get a blowjob in heaven by 12 virgins or whatever.

hehe that jesus had some cool jedi mind tricks. he had a mind over matter thing going. if he was alive or born today he be working at las vegas no doubt. or in a mental asylum for sure, claiming to be son of god or whatever.

do we need religion at all, and yea as an artist i even consider that.
if you take away hell and heaven from some ppl then all you got is a couple of really disturbed ppl. sadists and whatnot.

was thinking about how they build really big buildings and then pray for the homeless in them. thats a kind of an oxymoron isnt it?

Religion is only one of the Tic-tacs in the dispensor of human cruelty. It's far more about seperating folks in order to make oneself feel better (for the nasty aspects). Just because someone has massacred a village in the name of some obscure diety doesn't mean he wouldn't have done it for some other reason, had that convenient one been lacking. Religion is just a handy excuse. It's like banning all the Smith& Wesson .380's, because there are so many deaths involved with the hand gun. That still leaves a whole panoply of weapons and doesn't address the core issue (that we have trouble playing nicely with others).

I say the world is filled with about 95% stupid people with a crap load of issues with self identity/existance, death and life. That creates about 100% of the worlds problems.
The other 5% dont even know they are smart.

Whenever I go to my local book store I put the religious/spiritual books in the Fantasy section (especially Behe's intelligent design nonsense - I find this shit in the science section all the time!!!!).

What do you really hope to accomplish by doing that? It's not going to make people think, it's just going to piss them off at you.
