So I've been hired to design a logo for a local university's band uniform. I'm an art student who has never really done any work professionally before, and I have absolutely no idea what kind of price range I should be asking. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Probably $100 to $150 is reasoanable for this type of work.

I agree. This is not one of those "Corporate Identity" kinds of jobs, just a simple design for a company that can't spend a lot of money. Of course at this rate you can't afford to invest a whole lot of time in it either. A day or two depending on your schedule.

Get in touch with people in your Area who's doing the same work.. inquire and ask for their RATE thats the best thing to do to check out the Current market price of that kind of Job.
