Is it just me who is going insane over those notification mails from conceptart.org? I'm talking about the mails you get when somebody post something new in a thread you're "watching". The links in those mail are wrong and lead to a 404 page.

The script uses 209.59.130.24 instead of www.conceptart.org. So if you change the url you get to the right place. But I can't be bothered because honestly, what's the point in those mails if you don't get the correct url? It's been like this for a long long time now. Many months, perhaps it's time to correct it? I would be very grateful, because I'm missing out on conceptart.org a lot right now because I don't have the energy to rewrite the urls all the time.

I also mentioned it in this thread some time ago. But I'm reposting it since I haven't seen any change.

Thanks! Keep up the good work on CA.org! :yayca:

yeah, I have that problem. I also get notifications that should be going to other people.

I turned off the email notification option in all new threads I subscribe to. It is too much of a pain.

Same here with the IP address vs. URL. But I stopped enabling subscriptions anyway. :/

Ok, that is enough for me Jason. I just wanted to know that it wasn't something that just affected only a few of the users.

I wish you good luck with the coding! I code myself so I know it can be bitch sometimes to weed out bugs/errors without rewriting the whole system.

I'm waiting eagerly. :teeth:

EDIT: By the way, perhaps you could post a notice/sticky (here in the lounge) so people like me know that they're not waiting in vain? As I look around the page I can see that there seems to be some other errors (like artis spotlight on the frontpage).

please post any other problems in the forums problems thread in the lounge. thanks for the heads up. the new vbulliten gave us some headaches...but they are getting resolved now.

the current main page is a mess...which is why we are replacing it with a brand spanking new main page which is about 95 percent complete right now. If all goes well...and i always say that...it should be up in a few days.
