Be it for its style, its content, its director or for the song itself.
Would music videos have hit you like a truck and dragged you along for the ride?
Id have to go for:
Bjork - All is full of love.

Tool - Parabol/Parabola

All the tool videos are excellent but this one just had that bit more, plus it was ten minutes long.
And
Aphex Twin - Come to daddy

Any Tool music video...and there are some really nice Smashing Pumpkins videos as well...dunno much more than that, as I dislike most of the mainstream music...
I guess the music is what really makes me like a music video or not -- not how good it actually looks.
As for live music videos (meaning full concerts), I'd have to say that Yes' "Symphonic Live" beats the crap out of everything I've ever seen before, when it comes to live videos. Great concert, great songs...

well, i've only seen it one time, i'm not a radiohead-fan or something, i don't even think the song itself is very good... but the video for "rabbit in your headlight" is the best piece of music television i have ever seen in my entire life. i thought about downloading it i think i would watch it too often and it could lose this feeling i got from it.
great video. i'd really like to see that one again.

you can watch those aphex twin videos and other videos by chris cunningham here : http://www.director-file.com/cunningham/
the video for afrika bambaataa is one of my favorites...also the commercials for nissan and playstation.
he's also working on a film version of Neuromancer right now...that should be pretty cool
tarsem singh(dir. of The Cell) has done some really cool videos too.... the REM "losing my religion" video and a video for Deep Forest. i really like his lighting and staging...great stylist
i was interning in a broadcast company a while back and had the Director Reels of all these guys at hand...so i just watched tons and tons of awesome videos and commercials...gondry, cunningham, finchers, ilm's, etc...there were probably a thousand reels
