So yea, think a little.

fact - he has a user profile that is filled out
fact - he is an illustrator
fact - he posted his portfolio link so that people can have a look at his art
fact - this website promotes the showcasing of your art (in fact people that don't have something to show are looked down upon)
fact - links at the bottom of some peoples sig (like for example sketchbook) is self promotion (ie. advertising)
fact - no rules about what your first post "should" be
fact - he posted in the right section
fact - definition of spam: Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail.
spammed, spam·ming, spams
1. To send unsolicited e-mail to.
2. To send (a message) indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups.
and his post falls under none of the above
fact - first post by lord blue is an unfounded accusation of a newbie poster
fact - this is not the first time lord blue does this
hypothesis - lord blue likes to bully newbies
So yeah I did think ... "a little" ...unlike you.
Have a nice day.

What LaPalida said, this type of thread's been posted plenty of time with no problem.

Still feels like spam to me. If you register on a forum for the sole purpose of posting a link to get your site hits, regardless of content, i see this as spam.
Toss me on a cross if it makes you feel better.

I'll just say something and get out of the way.
Rhinoisu dude...WTF? Where the hell are our free Ipods?! :teeth:
Anyways, love some of the things on your showcase, but it feels a little wordy to me and I get lost in the words when I expect to see gallery of artwork. Welcome to CA :teeth:
Okay, back to Lapalida and Blue.

Thanks for the people who looked at my website. It is still in development and more images are to come to each gallery. I am trying to get more of my art work scaned and documented.

"Rhino" because your name is Ryan and it sounds similar (and you have an emormous horn jutting from your nose) and "isu" because you have some connection with Iowa State University.
Elementary, my dear Watson (we actually have a Watson here, by the way); simple deduction and observation.
Welcome to CA.
