inspiration

lately ive had practically no inspiration. ive drawn 1 thing in the past 2 weeks that i havent wanted to instantly throw out.

so what do you guys do when youre out of ideas?

work anyways, watch videos of Tony Hawk, read the interview w/travis charest describing how he used to work at a plumbing supply place and now he kicks major A$$ 'cause he just came home and drew everyday, go running, put headphones on, check out any of the artists on the main page, watch rocky, watch shine, look up artists on internet, go for a walk outside and look at everything, think about the fact that you can create your own future if you try hard enough.:D

i let my mind wonder at times,
pick up anything near by that would be cool to draw, or keep me busy.
i listen to music a lot, because it get's my mind wondering and gets me in the mood to draw.

it's one of my driving forces :)

Lookin at other artist's work is always inspiring. and if I'm really hard up, I might even go to EatPoo. oh, and speeding on the freeway always makes me feel better.

i carry alittle camera and sketchbook everywhere i go and take pictures and do some sketches, sometimes when you're outside, your mind thinks of things that you wouldn't normally think of while you're stuck inside. but if that doesn't work you can aways watch some t.v.

I watched a lightning storm when I was riding home from work this morning (12:30am-ish) and it inspired me immensly. All this fork lightning zig-zaggin' across the sky, the smell of rain fresh and riding a gentle breeze towards me, assorted frogs croaking in the darkness around me... I got off my bike and sat there for at least an hour, and would've been longer if it didn't start raining heavily.

So basically... find yaself a good storm. @;-p

I like it to listen to soundtracks of certain movies, while lying in bed, slowly falling asleep. This has boosted my inspiration for several paintings the last couple of times. I still have to draw/paint them though! ;)
