View Full Version : Photoshop gradient looks choppy outside of ps

how do i get my images to not be choppy when uploaded? the backgrounmd is supposed to be smooth. i loaded it onto photbucket, may that be the reason? thx

All I can think of is to make sure your JPEG quality is set high. good luck.

Here's the same gradient saved in various JPG levels. From 0-12 in units of 2. So ... 0,2,4,6

Also, no matter what your compression, if your Screen Settings are 16 instead of 32 bit, you'll get horrible banding no matter what you do. Who the heck uses 16-bit and digitally paints though.

Thanks guys, that made a big difference. Yeah my screen was at 16 bit LOL but hey im not much of a computer wiz, live and learn :P bahh i need to get a new desktop someday...
