After the fire, ashes. It would be a cool thing to do on canvas/board with a palette knife don't you think ? *hmm.. goes pondering and get some ashes/acryl medium*

i like how you built the form with the angular brush strokes, i think they gray tones was a good choice too.

very cool. texture reads very effectively.
soft edges at dark eye are a bit of a departure
