My favorite line from the article-
Fascinated by the Federal Reserve Board chairman's inscrutable visage and towering reputation, the 24-year-old University of Virginia graduate spent the better part of two years working on unauthorized portraits of Greenspan. She wound up with 20 paintings and sketches.
20 paintings and sketches? in 2 years? huhhhh? Not a major turnaround...

Just thought some people here would get a kick out of it..

Ugh, way too much attention. How this person is getting 3000 dollars for paintings, its just... bleh... Those looks like sketches and just 20 in 2 years is... barely any. Leave it to the public to pay attention to everything but the skill. ss

Know what? There are lots of hotspots in the world for journalists to cover...so why does this even make it into news?
Not directed at the artist...I mean, hey, if I were her I'd love the attention. But don't journalists have better things to do than to report how many chickens were stolen from the neighbour's chicken coops last night? (I didn't do it by the way).

So, I gotta ask if it's really okay to make so much money off of someone elses likeness? Who's still alive no less. Would Greenspan had to have signed of on this? Or is it up to him in the first place? Because I'd be more than happy to do up my own Greenspan series if his likeness is open territory.
