An ogre/goblin that I am making for a faux game interface (it is not meant to be low poly though). First in a series of 9 meshes that I have a couple of months to do.
Crits welcome...the poses are really just tests but the skinning seems to be holding together.

I don't like the design of this character as much as the dwarf. I think he'd look better with a chubbier body instead of a chisled one. The fur doesn't really work. I think the texture on the body looks way too procedural... it doesn't look like skin, it looks like marble. With a few tweaks and bit more work this character could be really cool.

Ha ha sketch...funny you say the texture looks way too procedural. I get accused of using procs too much but that one is actually a Bitmapped texture. It is probably too uniform which is what you are really picking up on. The client is the one who wants the chiseled body as he is meant to be a Hero warrior. He will however eventually be surrounded by fat chunky guys that are probably closer to what you expect.
Thanks for the crits and the crits on the dwarf as well...my deadline for this project is very tight so a lot of suggestions that people give are going to have to wait until the end (time willing).
