Morticia Addams. Bit of an experiment really. Photoshop 6, yesterday... I think I might do Gomez next...
Crits very welcome! :)
"Gomez, last night - you were unhinged. You were like some desperate, howling demon. You frightened me. - Do it again!"

And now Gomez... Think I might edit it and put 'Thing' in with him. Gomez's trusty right hand!

Woohoo!! I'm so glad you posted this... it's absolutely brilliant!! I LoVE it!!
It's got a real 50s feel... whilst being frightfully modern at the same time. Splendid!
And i can't wait to see the rest of the family....

very cool - I love how the curls on her hair echo the bottom of the dress
if i had one crit it would be that due to the stylized look and elongated limbs...her calves could be longer. At least from where i think the knees are slightly bent.
Otherwise..nice piece!

I like her dress, and hands.

my only crit is to make her more pale. love the heart shaped dress opening.

I particuarly like the heart-cut and her entirely well-done hands. I'm not crazy about the choppiness of the light effects in the bg, but it's really a fantastic piece. Great work.

Heh, groovy idea. Hands are a bit big and bony, though.
Only other thing, though, is that the pic seems to be lacking in depth. I know this is heavily stylised, however, so it may be intentional (that said, it's the same deal with your UK\US TD pic, though that isn't so stylised).

Thankyou very much for the unexpected response to this piece. I wasn't even sure about posting it, and was just going to hide it somewhere on my website. Thank Duddlebug for pushing me! But when I'd finished it I decided to do the whole family and just see what happened.
I don't know whether Morticia would smoke, but decided if she did she'd certainly have a cigarette holder and look damn cool using it! As she always would... I love that line from the second movie: "Gomez, I'm going to have a baby... right now!" Gomez is going to be a bit more John Astin than Raul Julia, but the two guys were both perfectly cast in their own ways.
Cheers again! :)

I love the characters and am a big fan of the movie. I dig the graphic style with the small spirals. One crit is that her chest (from the clavacle to the brests) seems rather flat in contrast to the rest of the piece. I think you might need to drop the center point of the clavacle down a little bit because I think it is riding a bit too high. It was just something that caught my eye.
Can't wait to see Gomez

very nice, her finger outstretched holding the cigarette holder seems a little long, but she seems as though she would be the one to have extra long fingers. very very nice poece non the less :)

Morticia... Now with extra added Gomez! Not quite as stylised, but i tried to capture that manic enthusiasm he always has.
Good crits on Morticia... thankyou. I'm going to edit her slightly flat chest, the length of the calves and her hands.
Fester next... :) Then Wednesday, Pugsley, Cousin It, Granny and Lurch!

aww Posh these are Great. Really diggin Tish, the colours and the dress are awesome, Im thinking her pose looks juss sliightly uncomfortable, like her upper body is angled juss a bit too far to the left for it to look illuring, but its pretty close to be honest, hee i looove her sleeves.
Gomez is exaaactly how i thought he would look, just as I was expecting to see him and could be recognised just from that brilliantly rendered suit there, all I would like to see is maybe darker around his eyes? Ar first I thought it was his nise that maybe needed to be bigger, but i think juss some darkening around his sockets would really push his features.
Anyway, I cant wait for Fester!!

I like them. Just wondering what they might look like if you nudged the levels a little bit, like with the sundae girl. I think it might add some depth immediately. But it could just be my monitor...

Wow, those look great! I like your cartooning style - very classic :) I think the addition of Thing is a definite must. Why stop here? What about Wednesday and Pugsly? :)

I like a lot your new style ; this last pict is my favourite from you (though the background could be cleaned a bit more).
Congrats.

great work again-but still...might only be me,but i think they are both abit too "happy fluffy" for addams. if you look at the original pictures by him (chas addams) you'll see that gomez is alot more sinister-but i think darkening the eye sockets should do the trick. definately add "thing"! can't wait for the rest.

My only minor objection is to the reflective light on Morticia's hair. I'd back off of the yellowish glow of it. It almost makes her seem like a brunette as opposed to the traditional jet black hair.
And John Astin would absolutely flip out over the Gomez. The figure rocks!

I wasn't a huge fan of this show or the movie but these look great! Nifty cartoon versions of the characters. A good mixture of realism and simplicity.
I like how you didn't base them on any particular person.

Very sleek. Kudos! I think Gomez would do real well with the Thing, and I'm waiting for Fester. :)

Golly... cheers! There is a bit of John Astin in Gomez though, and I'm going to do Wednesday a bit like Christina Ricci, but a Mark Ryden version of her, as she was sooo perfectly cast! Lisa Loring was cool too... I didn't mean to do them all... it's just kind of happened.
