Email count of people from SCAD finding me here: Three.

Why not start a thread I say to myself. I want to see at least three people post here and say "Ha, I emailed you already" but more would be nice.

SCADies speak up, if we can manage not to be lazy we should get together (hey, it's walkable..) and do some jam art sessions, and swap art tips.

Of course, anyone in the general area is free to join as well.

Three you hear me..or else.

Had the first get together today, an amazing three people.

Pretty fun, hung out and had coffee at Gallery Express. Pictures to follow.

If anyone else is in the GA area and wants to stop in, drop a line, we'd love more people to abuse.

Yo, im here for roll call. Ive been hoping to find some people in the area to sketch with.
Amazingly, im finding it hard which is amazing considering were at artschool =P

Anyway, it would be cool to get a little more of a local community going.

So everyone from SCAD, please post here so the rest of us can see who you are!

I'll be going to SCAD as soon as humanly possible, and that is looking to be something like one full school year from now.

I'm sort of the un-offical leader, being like the oldest and stuff.

But, I'd like to know from eveyrone here. What days/times are the best and worst for you?

So far I here at least one person works weekends. I really want to make this work for all of us.

I have classes all day Tuesday/Thursday. Outside of that, I'm usually free.

Are ancient alumni welcome? Just wondering since I could use some sketching. But time is kind of short sometimes.

Skulldog
May 8th, 2005, 11:49 PM
Anyone is welcome! Which is why I ask for places that don't need SCAD IDs, in case people in the area want to join.

Calling for next Saturday at 12 again, if that works for everyone.

i don't think anyone ever answered - yes, of course alumni are welcome! there is only one more weekend in the term, and it could be tight with exams. i'm interested, because i should always have a little time to drink tea and draw - or make it - so who knows.

also, i will be resuming in the fall - hopefully others will join.

Sorry I crapped out last meeting, I got pretty busy, couldn't get a ride home and was drawing anyway.

I think we'll pass this weekend, graduation crunch for me, and family in town.

Anyone gonna be here in July? I'm coming back early before classes start up. If not, I'll catch everyone next school year.

Also, scan up some of the work you've done so far guys, and post it here!

Classes are in, so I know more people are in the city now.

How does this Saturday 17th(?) sound to anyone who reads this. Usual spot at Gallery Expresso, and time to be dicussed.

Skulldog
October 15th, 2005, 01:46 AM
So I'm out. I no longer have a workign ID, being I graduated.

That's why we use Gallery Expresso.

We need to find somewhere that's accessable to even nonSCAD students in the area. I have room mates who would love to come.

The_Manx
October 18th, 2005, 06:20 PM
Solution! Skulldog and friends come back to school for a masters or doctors.... OR meetings go back to Gallery Expresso with the bonus of good coffee :)

Hi all you SCADians! I got the all-clear from Hunger_Artist to post this in here, so here goes.

Li'l Kitty Jam Jams! Is a cute animation project that I am working on which is currently based out of SCAD (meaning, the director of the project is there, so that's where things will happen!). We are currently poking about for people who are interested to jump in on the project, particularly animators, but also storyboarders, layout, and concept artists. If you don't know Flash, you will be taught! It should be a fun group project with fun people, and a good deal of preproduction is already done.

Here's the site for the project: http://www.argproductions.com

This is associated with Beecon and SCAD TV, so whatever we produce will not only be on the internet, but probably on TV around the Savannah area, especially on school stuff.

If you're interested in what's going on, or even just slightly curious, there will be a meeting in Montgomery Hall at 2pm on this Sunday, November 6th (which is right after the Film Fest is over, so nobody should have to miss anything there).

Also, for Savannah people who are non-SCADians, the director is welcoming any local interest as well, and will venture out to meet up with people if need be. So if you fall into that category, drop me a line!
