This place is sometimes harsh, 293 views and no replies?
I really can't see why myself no bad comments from me. I like it very much.

I like the lighting, color and this is a very nice composition, but the girl's anatomy is way off (long arms, small head being the most notable) and the beast's anatomy seems unlikely. The more fantastic the creature the more logical the anatomy should be.

It's nice, very Frazetta...but I agree, the painting is much better executed than the drawing itself, which has some anatomy issues. However mainly I'm posting to tell you that you should save your jpgs at higher quality...this looks very grainy in spots and detracts from the work.

Thanks for the feedback. Great comments. Yup, the arms have always bothered me on this one. Since it was done in Photoshop, it's probably something I could correct with some retouching. Maybe one day...

I agree with what most of the other posters said.

To add my 2 cents, the thing that bothers me the most is that the only focal point is the figure, yet she's so small...she's dwarfed by everything in the painting. I automatically want to get closer and see more detail in the figure, as there's some good stuff implied there...but it's just not possible. So, my eye naturally tries to wander around the picture but unfortunately, compared to her, it's all rather bland.

What I'd love to see is something to also draw us to the face of the creature (some other light source illuminating it...glowing eyes...not sure)...and also, some texture on the creatures skin. The extra focal point might not even be a huge need if the creature was at least a bit more interesting to look at, texture wise. Right now, even the ground is more interesting to look at.

Still, it's a cool idea and it's nicely painted and has a pallette that I find interesting. Keep it up!
