I'm a big fan of these films,mostly just for the fighting(what else is there? :confident ).

As for the avatar,hehe,yeah,we must be the only ones. :}
I like the old michael,the cool black michael,not the new bleached peter pan michael. Man,his old songs are great. Now he's just washed up and crazy.

Is Ja Thai? He seems to be using alot more knees and elbows than most MA's

yes he is, i know a friend who is thai, and he has some experience in kick-boxxing. since he knows his thai traditions and such.
i've learned from him that using elbows and knees is a thai tradition of martial arts. not only that, they do more kicking than punching. supposedly its said that kicking inflicts more damage than punching and you can do quite well if you keep your balance and just kick through a battle without punching.

yeah it is muay thai that he's doing. I used to train in muay thai(hope to get back into in when I can,especially now that I saw this trailer :tihi: ),and it was great to see the elbows and knees flying. I remember doing that stuff in class. The movies gonna be great,the fighting at least...As for the kicking,the thais are unbelievable kickers. One fighter who came to our gym from thailand showed me how to kick,and his kick was so unbelievably strong,if you were to get hit,it would be like getting hit with a baseball bat. In muay thai,they try to kick through the opponent,as if they wanted to cut you in half. In other martial arts,the kick just make contact,but don't try to go through,and it doesn't have as much impact. This is just my opinion from what I learned. I'm not a muay thai master or anything... :)

I believe Muay Thai was rank number 2 or 3 in the fiercest martial arts in the world, I know Shaolin Kung Fu was number 1. Ong Bak is a great movie and has many great action sequences can't believe it took the americans this long to notice it (seen it almost a year and a half ago), just like many other good movies they neglect to bring to the states. If you like this movie, there is a movie called "Beautiful Boxer" based on a true story of a muay thai fighter, great action sequences as well.

But I warn you in advance that it is base on a true story and the subject matter is at your own discrection, still it's an enjoyable movie.
