Man, that's a wicked peace pipe!
Great design, but the far forearm is long thant the near and the far hand is smaller than the near.
While I really like the background, the almost circular shape of the smoke gives it a bit too much of a symmetrical feel. Similarly, the little fir bits give him the feeling of forward motion, but the smoke trail really detracts from that feel. If the smoke trailed back through and around his legs, it would give it some weight, add to the motion, and help plant him to a surface (there's the barest feeling of floating right now).
The far boot is the only thing benefitting from the backlightling. While it should remain sparse, maybe a couple more hits would help tie the elements together.
This is so cool. Good job!

cool creature and yes the weapon rocks.
crits - try and get some different tones in the "flesh" its all too pink IMO. Also lose the white clouds in the background they are just competing with the character. Very nice overall feeling. Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley.
