Dear people,
I have a long and a short story for you.
IŽll take the short one for now.
This is my first post here ever.
You guys have inspired me to take up drawing and painting again.
Thank you ever so much!
I havenŽt felt this good in years.

I also have a question for you.
I read about you using Prismacolor pencils on other media such as gouache and water color.
Sounds and looks great.
I have some old cases of Derwent and Caran dŽAche.
The do not work too good on gouache.
Since I can not get Prismacolor pencils here (Sweden) I was thinking of order a couple on the net (www.artsuppliesonline.com, www.rexart.com).
Am I right about the Prismacolor pencils working (sticking) on gouache, like pastel?

Once again, thanks guys.
Best regards
PeelMan

Due to a trademark conflict, in Europe Berol's colored pencils are sold as Karismacolor. You should be able to find them without having to pay overseas shipping, although the big American dealers discount so heavily it might still be worth it.

Thanks a lot for that information Elwell.
Do you know if they work on gouache ...other media?
As I wrote before, the Derwent and Caran dŽAche donŽt.

Thanks for any help.

Just checked it: Once the gouache is absolutely dry you can draw with Karisma/Prismacolor pencil on it. However, light colors don't come out bright over dark.

Thanks Jester, just the information needed!

Do you have any Caran dŽAche Prismalo (pref. Aquarelle) to compare that to?

Thanks again! :-)

I have watercolor pencils from Faber Castell "Albrecht Dürer" - and they just stick as fine (checked warm yellow pencils over dark blue gouache).

Thanks again Jester for your quick reply.
Handy information.

I think I stick with what I already have then.
No reason to get the Prisma/Karisma pencils

Thanks
See ya! :-)
