The only Paul Felix connected with Disney that I can find is Paul A. Felix, who was the production designer on Disney's Lilo and Stitch (http://www.mouseinfo.com/movies/liloandstitch/pressrelease.php) (2002) and The Emperor's New Groove (2000).
If this is not the guy you are looking for, you could try contacting the Disney organzation directly for the information you seek.

I took a class with him at assosiates in art about 6 or 7 years ago.
He was great. he did a bunch of work on Mulan. there are also a few paintings and designs of his in the Brother Bear book.
I am not relly sure if he has a web presence or a job right now.
I sure he is doing something cool. Maybe for all the 3D stuff Disney is starting?
Good luck
post any info if you get it.

I believe that he the art director on "American Dog", Chris Sander's(Lilo & Stitch, et al) next movie.
I envy all of you who had him as an instructor. I have been a big fan of his work for years and aspire to his skill in storytelling and craft.

Serendipity at work here. I just received this email from the school I attend. 30 seconds later I saw this thread. Gotta love how nature works...

Entertainment Art Academy
Paul Felix, Disney Art Director and consumate visual development artist, comes to EAA this Sunday at 3pm!
Space is limited, reserve today! There is no registration fee for lectures!
Paul Felix will discuss his tenure as a visual development artist at Disney Feature Animation with emphasis placed on the various ways development artists support the filmmaking process. Examples from Mulan, Tarzan, The Emperor's New Groove, Brother Bear and Lilo and Stitch will demonstrate the range of information and inspiration development artists are expected to supply. Strategies for developing visuals during the sometimes chaotic early stages of a film will also be discussed.

What makes you think "all you California people" can take those classes?
California is a looooong state and, for example, it's roughly 340 miles from where I live to Pasadena. It would take roughly 6 hours for me to drive that distance. And then, there's not only the cost of the classes but gas, hotel/motel accommodations, and eating expenses.
Flying is faster but more expensive.
Of course if you wanted to pay our expenses, I'll bet you'd get some takers. :confident

Oh great, youre rolling your eyes. I should have stated: You people who live within the proximity of the Los Angeles area are really lucky, because you have the benefit of being able to study at:
LAAFA, Entertainment Art Academy, Gnomon, Art Center, The Drawing Club, California Art Institute, Animation Guild and so on.
Not to mention that the video games and the movie industry are over there as well. Meaning you have instructors with experience teaching at the local schools.
The cost of classes aside from Art Center and Gnomon are not in the $2000 range (per class) right?

Hi,
Don't take my eye-rolling smiley too seriously. I was just teasin' ya. ;)
Since it's all out of my budget range, I don't have any idea what all of that costs.
I do understand that just about anyone studying art would feel themselves fortunate to have all of those resources nearby.... and have the money to pay for them.
If in doubt, interpret my comments and choice of smilies lightly. I'm usually either helping someone to learn Painter, encouraging them, providing resource links, or just kiddin'.
Signed...

I'm surprised no one has questioned why this is in the forum for the Painter software.

You do have the option of taking online classes at some of these schools. Gnomon online is sort of a learning environment, while Entertainment Art Academy offers exceptional online classes with real time instruction. Both of these options are relatively affordable. Apologies for getting slightly off topic.

Just a hint, since my class at Laguna College of Art and Design just had a meeting with Paul yesterday...which was absolutely amazing...
Do NOT miss San Diego Comic Con next year...if you like Paul's stuff. *koffkoffhinthint*
I'm actually sitting in class with a huge A4 sized set of Paul Felix notes on Layout and Design. How I love my classes :D
