Here is a break-down of the clown image..
First, some background on the piece. It's a dedication to my grandpa, Boomer, who passed away last year from Cancer. He loved clowns. I wanted to do an homage to him.. and that one really came together so easily for me. Others take more time or sometimes require more work, I don't know.. just this one didn't.. Anyway, my grandma has a huge collection of dolls, so it spurred a collection of images, one inspiring the next.. but my favorite is still the clown.
Otherwise, the rest of the explanation is in the file below. Hopefully it's not too vague.. I can answer any questions, if it is. Oh, and all the other photos of the textures and stuff are shots that I take just out and about.. I'm always taking pics of wierd rust and dirt and broken old stuff.. love it..
Anyway, the tutorial..

Now I know why the clowns eyes are so real...cause they ARE real! That's awesome :) Thanks for showing this, I do a lot of 3d textures, and this is gonna work great for me. Just gotta start taking more pictures of dirt.

Hi Bfly

Your work is a real inspiration to me.

I'm new to this site and my other half pointed me in your direction. Even though I'm a photographer by profession it's so refreshing to see photography being used in this way.

I've been looking for a new direction and your work has made me think allot!

I can see it's been a long time since you posted your tutorial but if you have anything ells I'd love to see it. :)
