Huh i posted by mistake my concept art in sketchbook section sorry for that ... so here it goes one more time...

Hi everyone i am back after some years, i posted my first sketchbook here but it was sh*t.

First of all great work here guys!! I am so inspired everytime when i come! AMAZING.

Who i am, My name is Darko Markovic a.k.a Dar-Mar, i come from Belgrade, Serbia i am industrial designer by basic studies and Transporatation designer by Master with scholarship from Audi, VW and Lamborghini in Milano, Italy. Now i am without job in my industry as car designer because of chaos which is rulling due to economic crises.

I always wanted to be concept artists so i am maybe thinking of moving in that direction and designing props&Vheicles&enviroments.
Because of that i have been focusing more on my painting and rendering skills in photoshop.

Even though images are not arranged my time ( but i think you will be able to see my progress )I would really like and enjoy for you to critic me as hard as possible on my work, and hopefully enjoy it a bit :)

Because i really want to enter this industry and i would like to hear from you what you think. :mittenbop:

who is interested in more of my workd (3d&Transport&industrial) can visit my page

I don't really know what to say, it seems to me that you're having troubles with perspective and shape choosing (probably because you're running and not doing it properly) but a designer should have no problems with those. Anyway as i can tell you have to get rid of the design-ish technique that gives you former design students the same exactly style... if i put your artworks side to side to any other former design student i can't tell the difference you know. You probably need to become more intimate with your technique and do something that's really yours. Then we can start talking.

Yeah you're kinda jumping the gun and doing some pretty advanced stuff here... Very few people on this planet can actually start straight into this stuff. The rest of us need to grind through days and days and days and days of gruesomely boring perspective practice pieces. So like Hitsu said, take a step back and try to have as close to perfect perspective as possible on your drawings, then you can start value sketches, then finally reach color.

On the design side, I'd say you're mixing too much stuff into your drawings trying to fill up the surface with what seems to be random detail. My advice to you is look at how real stuff look like. Mostly everything is there for a reason, even though it might look random.

That said, i am not really a professional so the validity of my advice is limited. If you really want to cut it into the concept art department, my suggestion would be to attend one of the schools geared up towards teaching not only drawing skill, that you can theoretically pick up on your own, but also the way entertainment designers need to think in order to make a product that sells.

Cheers.
