Ok, I took a shot at the 1st form, added some human civilization-like elements, maybe the collective mind used a combination of human tech and bug tech to create the guardian suit and went all bug to create the more destructive boss form? Maybe no, anyway if you find any interesting stuff you can use do so. We can go all bug if you want and we can go all black as well if you feel like it (I changed my mind!).

I think that the killing hand should have a more threatening design, I was considering something with prominent knuckles to imply serious blunt damage but I am very tired right now, I will get back to it later.

Rendering/mood experiment. Maybe there are vein-like channels of aura binding the whole assault bug armor? I think it could look cool... Also, considering massive battle marks on the surfaces, she is the only thing still standing after the invasion. (Can you send the brush you used for the boss variant sketch over along with your high res? I want to try something)
