i was trying out some new self made brushes and playing around with the brush setting untill i began to see something in the random shapes and this is the result

nah... that is just the STAR stamp brush available in photoshop by default. i just played around with the properties.
you see the dark thick strokes in the back that is the one i made a rectangle-ish kinda brush with shape dynamics and rotation on pen pressure
also the wolf claw stamp on the upper right side!!

Oh never seen those stamp stuff for years lol. Anyway doesn't do a good job the square brush you made for painting, try to use it for the smudging tool, you could be surprised.

i used to use smudge 2 yrs ago when i didn't have a pen tablet. after i bought one i just stopped using smudge. i just did all the blending with the "opacity on pen pressure".
right now i dont even know how to effectively use smudge!!

You could use it for clouds, smoke, focal lens effects, even if you want to blend 2 strokes as 1 or just to mix 2 colors. I dunno why but people seems to think that the smudge tool is evil cause everyone keep saying to not use it but there are lots of smart applications. Obviously you really need to know how to not abuse it but in my thoughts you can say that even for the round brush or the eraser...
