Hey

I figure now that we have a Painter specific forum here, those of us you have it may want to share tools as well as ideas. Painter 7 brush files are universal, unlike previous versions which had a single line of code that made brushes incompatable with an OS other than the one it was created on. So it's just a matter of uploading a small .xml file.

When you download one, just place it in a folder in one of your Painter Brush libraries. If you want ot to have it's own folder, you just have to make a small Jpeg icon to accompany it.

Personally, I think it'd be awesome to have a huge online archive of brushes and Painter resources that'd just be available publicly. But in the meantime, why not upload your own custom brushes along with a brief disription and possibly a demo screenshot here for fellow members?

Anyone up for it?

Quite a few Painter brushes here, some very useful.

Might I recommend Paolos GhostGogh and Don's Brushes.

These are some specialist erasers I made and are available for Painter 6 (PC and Mac versions and for Painter 7.

Note that the square eraser may also be used in conjunction with the 'straight lines' draw style mode (selectable in the 'controls: brush' palette). In order to eliminate jagged aliasing in this mode, the lines must be precisely horizontal or vertical. Opacity of the line may also be adjusted in the 'controls: brush' palette.

Can someone please show me how to use the brushes that you download into Painter 7. I need someone to really really dumb down the explanation because I've been trying the longest time to use the brushes I downloaded but I can't seem to open them in painter 7. Anyone, please??

Hey, thanks Exo :)

If you haven't already done so, also check out my guest resource page and small collection colour sets.

For anyone needing/ preferring word translation I have also incorporated a translation link to the resources index page; click here for resources index (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david.gell/Pages/Sandmans_Download.html)
