I don't know what the story is behind your tumor, but I feel the same way about having had cancer...wouldn't wish it on anyone, wouldn't want it again, but it's something that definitely changed me for the better. These portraits are amazing, I did my first one today for my painting class, yours are inspirational.

hey andrew - i've been lurking your spods since you came to melissa's classroom (i gave you the sticker you put on the back of your sketchbook) and i have to comment on this one but i don't quite know what to say. i couldn't quit staring at it. it must be the purple beneath the eyes .. and the bandanna .. im a sucker for color .. but i just wanted to say you really captured something in this one and even if it spawned from something negative it's still really nice.
