(Not really sure where to put this...please move to appropriate forum if necessary)

I'm going to be applying to college soon and some of them want portfolios to be online, so they can just go to a link and see my work. What sites would be best for hosting a portfolio? Or should I make my own website? People told me to use weebly but I hate the name, it sounds unprofessional.

Right now I'm considering CGhub, carbonmade, blogspot, behance, wordpress...does it really matter, as long as the layout is neat and easy to navigate?

Having been looking and searching for artists for a while now I have found many use Blogspot/Wordpress...These are easily manageable and good for recent updates, being at the top. allowing people and yourself to see progress. They have neat layouts and are easy to navigate...also you can turn your blogspot address into a www.aozorize.com (for example) for a minimal fee...

...just my two pennies.

The most proffessional looking portfolio site i've found is cargo collective (http://cargocollective.com/) From what ive seen clean and straight to the point, have a look at their featured gallery.
That being said I use blogspot for now since its simple and easy to use, hope it helped!

Thanks guys. Yeah seems like blogspot is a staple for artists, but cargo collective looks awesome. Maybe I'm just gonna end up using both lol...
