I'm no where near as good a modeller as some here, but here goes for my list of sci-fi designs in sketchup. :D

Any constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks all.

The space station and this last design are well done. I like the surface landing supports and the rendering.

Wow, the rendering is rather beautiful. When my professor introduced me to Sketchup I totally ignored it and stuck to Maya. I never truly got a hang of Maya's rendering and lighting systems.

Did you render your ship in Sketchup?

Thanks. Oh no, I used Indigo to render those. It's only a demo though. So I've jumped on Kerkythea instead.

This is more recent. A bit more detail in this model than the last set of images.

The backgrounds are stock images. I've got to work on texturing, but I've found Blender to work well with UV co-ordinates. It's just that Sketchup exports double sided meshes, so it's a pain to work with them (everthing has twice the vertexes and polys). :(
