hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a new screen. Main usage will be to use photoshop on. I also want to use it for gaming, both computer games and xbox 360.
The problem is whether to buy a LCD LED HDTV or a LCD LED computer monitor.
I am not sure what the difference is other than the price and the maximum size. From my research I found out that computer monitors usually go up to 27 inches, which would be plenty enough for what i want to do with it. The screens I have been looking at are
HP 27" LED Monitor (2711x):
27" diagonal LED screen
This anti-glare monitor can be placed anywhere in the room
16:9 aspect ratio
Widescreen is perfect for viewing 2 documents side by side or for watching movies
1920 x 1080 resolution
Enjoy excellent image quality
3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
Offers great color resolution
5 ms response time
Delivers exceptional performance that is especially noticeable when playing games and watching videos
0.3114mm pixel pitch
Provides detailed text and graphics
Vizio 32" Class Razor LED-LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV, M320VT-CA:
16:9 LCD panel
With a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution
32" class screen size
31.55" screen measured diagonally from corner to corner
Wide 178-degree vertical and 178-degree horizontal angles
See a clear picture from anywhere in the room
Built-in digital tuner
Watch digital broadcasts, including HDTV programs where available
High brightness of 450cd/m2 with 8 ms response time
Place your TV anywhere
50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
HDMI Inputs: 4
Enjoy a superior HD experience with HDMI one cable solution
SRS TruSurround HD
Excellent HD sound
SRS TruVolume
Eliminates loud commercials
As you can see they have the same resolution and aspect ratio. the monitor has a better dynamic contrast ratio but isn't 50,000 good enough for using photoshop? Or do i need the 3,000,000: 1 ratio?
