HDTV vs Monitor

hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a new screen. Main usage will be to use photoshop on. I also want to use it for gaming, both computer games and xbox 360.
The problem is whether to buy a LCD LED HDTV or a LCD LED computer monitor.
I am not sure what the difference is other than the price and the maximum size. From my research I found out that computer monitors usually go up to 27 inches, which would be plenty enough for what i want to do with it. The screens I have been looking at are

As you can see they have the same resolution and aspect ratio. the monitor has a better dynamic contrast ratio but isn't 50,000 good enough for using photoshop? Or do i need the 3,000,000: 1 ratio?

Well since you're using it for both, I would have told you an IPS display would have been best. This is because of color shifting that most TN panels have.

HDTV is fine if you're wanting to switch over to watch TV on it too. I have that with a Samsung and it works fine as a basic computer monitor, gameplay machine, and TV.

Since most hdtvs now come with 1080P, I am guessing that as long as your tv is not over 32 inches or so, the pixels will still be small enough to be used at a distance that you view your computer monitor. Am I right on this or is 32 inch still too big to be viewed at a close distance?

This one I'm not sure on, but 32 inches are meant to be viewed at a distance, and once you have 32 inches you also have to be aware of the refresh rate (specially for video games) 120hz is what you'll need.
