View Full Version : After a new Monitor...

Sup guys

I'm after a new monitor- the two I use at work are both 1920*1080 (or thereabouts), which makes coming home to a 17" 1280*800 and a 6-year-old 19"1280*1024 rather painful, I've never felt so cramped and unable to see my canvas!

The last time I was buying a monitor I was told that Acer were the best for colour and contrast ratio, its been a long time since then and I dont really know what to look for, or which brand is going to be the best nowadays.

The ones I have at work are an HP (which is rather sexy) and a BenQ (which is terrible)

Wouldnt like to spend too much, as its for personal use, and isnt one I'll be using all day every day, but it would be nice to go 21"+

Any recommendations?

It's a bit late, you probably have one now but I had the same question a while ago and got some good answers...

I would take a look at the Dell 2412.Not sure if this is the best monitor out there but its the one I recently got for roughly the same problems you have. Also I found practically zero negative reviews for it what so ever and I can see why. The colors on it are fantastic! It supports 1900x1200 resolution as well. It cost me only 300 at the time which was about 3 weeks ago. I've heard that it has a good color gamut but I can't remember the exact number.
hope this helps!
