Here's my spawning pool of flamebellow drakes. Rushed it a bit too much.
WIP in the WIP thread.
And a little flavor:
"Flamebellow drakes, weird creatures they are. Not like the dragons, not at all. They breathe fire yet they love water, unlike the dragons, who are like pussycats. And their nests! Almost impossible to get to, ya'r die before you even reach the cave! And inside, rocks sharper than a cutthoat's knife and slippery as hell! You'll get shredded to pieces, if ya make a wrong move. But most wonderous are the cocoons themselves. An old friend of mine laid his hands on one, and guess what? He ain't got any! Hands that is, burnt 'em right off! Poor fella has to use hooks now. Unlike the dragons' eggs, who need heat to survive, these ones generate it themselves. They actually need water to cool off! Their nests tend to be called spawning pools, for they are inside cave lakes, that are fed by cold mountain rivers..." - Grigard Piraborn, Specialist on anything that breathes fire

As I can only come on here every so often due to exams I will throw my opinions in here as there is no voting thread.
anaiira - I like it for being abstract; good use or red, black, grey, and browns in your overall image, gives it a really gripping deathly feel, the hand in the foreground I could have loved to see worked a bit more and maybe a bit further back, this would have drawn the eye further into the picture and given it a bit more focus.
rem92 - Love the idea although the painting needs a bit of work, the pool needs a little more consistency. It would also have been nice to see some harder edges, it all seems a little out of focus at the moment. However the concept is great, good job.
vovosunt - You say rushed I say wow. Just well done, its a beautiful image. You use an out of focus crag at the front which gives it a photographic presence and the sharp epicenter which looks great, throughly impressed by both the idea and the painting skills.
sohfia - Love it, with both a cute allure and and a well painted finish it looks really really good. You have a achieved a beautifully stylized image. I look forward to seeing more from you :)
Remember guys I am not remotely good. all of what I said is based on a GCSE art course. Although I feel that from an ameturish view it is always nice to know what we think as well as the professionals.
To all well done look forward to future pictures. :D

Thanks for all the support people! I'm out now! Was no need for an operation, but I'll spare you the details. I'll be fully recovered in a week or two, but now I'm finally back to my dorm and computer. 8)
I'll get straight to the voting thread! There's voting to be done!
Edit: Oh, ryan already threw one up. I'm surprised he took so long ;D
